Outside the Clinic

Noisy Crazy Bizarre Town Success?!

Resets: 5

Deaths: 4

Had Quill managed to defeat both projectiles? Aerith had not even the slightest clue, as she had thrown two at the flame-using demihuman murderer. She noticed at least one of them being cut out of the air, but at least it seemed the bamboozlingly stupid plan amazing foolishness of her actions was enough to cause what she had intended. A total clusterfuck in this part of the clinic, and utter confusion for the demihuman woman and Donovan. A mayhem scene where they could get out with the rest of the crowd of fleeing people with molestation (hopefully) by the point end of a blade.

That HAD been the plan at least, and though it had been miraculously (or otherwise) successful so far there seemed to be no end to these demihuman rebels.

In particular, a certain someone she and Ashton had seen before, someone she recognized on sight as the "leader" of these murderous rebels. She'd harbored suspicions about who it could be since the last "reset", but...well, if she played this up she could perhaps work something out. She had no idea what Ashton would want to do, either, much less the others in this instance. Frankly she almost thought another reset was inevitable this time around so far, but in a sense was glad it wasn't. At least, for now.

Yet the dark-haired girl felt she could at least place a guess on one person that wasn't here. Ashton. Based on the boy's intelligence, and his actions the last reset or few, she felt he could either work with this more...or potentially attempt to force a reset for real this time as he had wanted her and him to do last time. She had no idea for certain of this or her guess about this hooded figure potentially, no solid proof of anything but what little she knew, but so far that was all they all had to work off of. It was stupid, dumb, all of this, but when push came to shove...

"You couldn't take this one on if we tried another thousand times, i think, Hiro. Though she does have a good fashion sense, if i recall earlier right.

Though what you perceive as 'clairvoyance' is not exactly true in this situation, i think."

Aerith spoke, a confident smirk coming to her face and lacing her tone instead of the prior panic from the clinic, standing up straight from where she'd been leaned over on Hiro to stabilize her thoughts. The dark-haired girl was bluffing as she calmly approached and stood in front of the hooded figure, however, using the one and only guess she had among people she was suspicious of so far. An act, and if it was wrong it might get them killed perhaps.

Or at least just herself...she perhaps deserved it if anyone died in that fire. Perhaps even so in Chieko's eyes, for all she could wantonly guess on the spot. She had no time to properly think about this matter of the chunni's opinion, though, merely the most passing and hurried of rough ideas at this stage.

"What this is, my most sly and cute little fox with good fashion sense, a 'variation' on it at best, in reality a "curse" of sorts if i may explain it.

A better name for what we possess is 'a sight of some possible future out there', an erratic and silly thing that's hard to get right for any of the three of us. On very incredibly rare occasions, it can be correct. Not very useful to the rebellion at all, i'm afraid, which is very annoying since i do want to help you all."

It was...an attempt at best, a desperate bluff for survival. Albeit, it wasn't entirely wrong. They had experienced many possible futures, potentially, and that had led them to this point. This being noted, Aerith internally was terrified in her mind that this could rub things the wrong way. She almost felt the thoughts screaming at her to do something different, but thinking on her words in the previous reset and such she felt she had some idea, a 'work it out as i go along' kind of idea.

"I wish i could say more about what we can do, but frankly i don't want to put others in danger. The curse is a bitter thing, even saying how we got it could kill others.

Though whether you believe me or not, as i said i do want to help despite being human. Whether its helping cook some food, learning some magic to help out, or even warming your bed at night if you need...Fritzi."

That was her BS guess. Fritzi. She had suspected the fox for long enough to be part of all of this, albeit not the leader at all, and so this was a shot in the dark to confirm or maybe deny some suspicious name. If this guess was wrong she was going to be eating her words, more so than after what she had just done inside of the clinic.

But...in rteality she just didn't want to see them all die again. She'd lie, lust, sleep, glutton, kill, whatever to keep them alive right now. She was, in a simple word, desperate.

Lilianna Rotz

Lilianna waved to the moth girl with one of her mech's arms. Though before she could get a word out, a stowaway from the drop pod emerged, seemingly only a bit off-put by the disastrous landing. The gazer couldn't blink her eyes enough in surprise at that, before shaking her head and putting a hand to her forehead. To her the catgirl was a bit of an idiot for dropping down with them like this...impact could have been very fatal very fast! But as much as she was ticked, it wouldn't have been like this if a CERTAIN SOMEONE-

"I must say, my dear girl, that fact a moth girl is here could be most fortuitous for you. In case of danger you could-"

"Doctor, if you suggest seducing the next moth girl i see with my eyes again, i am going to scream until the glass on your dome breaks," Liliana said without a second thought about what the doctor was actually saying, before taking a light pause, taking a deep breath, and attempting to rectify herself a bit, "But...ok, i do appreciate the thoughtfulness of maybe drawing a teammate away if there is great danger.

I'm sorry for being snappy. It's just, this idea of yours was stressful enough for now. I need to begin the search pattern with the others as well."

Liliana read the information as it passed onto her screen from Roxanne, herself and the doctor seeming to nod (or the equivalent of it) ijn affirmation on their end as they listened to the mechanical unit transmit over the comms. It seemed easy enough to the Gazer, to start off with this, though frankly if they were looking for stranded personnel...well, she hoped there would not be too much trouble with this assignment.

"Look alive girls, we've got some people to find!" the Gazer called out in a positive manner over the external speakers of the mech, seeking to get the two girls that had been on the ground together to suit up and get started.

She then began to ahve her mech fly in a different direction than the others, seeking to initiate the search pattern that had been transmitted to her mech.

Noisy Crazy Bizarre Town Plan

Resets: 5

Deaths: 4

It wasn't like Aerith hadn't made her own thoughts in the background over the time she was listening to Quill and Chieko talk things out. But as soon as the two seemed done speaking, mentioning only that they needed Donovan to be done with something first, Aerith slipped slowly and quietly out of the way and deeper into the clinic with a timid shuffle. Though on the way over, she leaned over and whispered into Aki's ear, as if excusing herself. If Quill looked at her, an awkward, hesitant wave of "goodbye" would be made.

She had seemed a bit frightened and had shuffled, as if she was just going to hide in another room like a coward. So cowardly, so stupid, so...well, at least putting on the facade of a cowardly girl trying to hide in another room since her enemies were blocking the one known (to her) entrance/exit to this place. But she had a plan...even if it was a very stupid and simple one.

No, stupid would be smarter than this idea of hers. This was a desperately foolish plan to the core. She hadn't even given indication to Hiro about it, for fear of it being seen.

'Chieko, you idiot, you absolute idiot! Why..why did you...why did you do that for us!

She'd been an ass, that was true. Angry at Chieko for being immature and denouncing coming into a group talk without a second thought. Sure, she'd...she'd been a bit rough. Ok, pretty rough when it came down to it, and when Yuuki and Chieko had slammed her and Hiro and co it had been infuriating. As infuriating as all those damned resets!

Everyone had been angry then, it seemed, for various reasons. And it was all fair, if she was going to be honest with herself.

'Ok...there's gotta be some stuff lying around here i can use! Tools, instruments, something. I can't just let her-...i won't let her just die! I won't let her throw her life away like that. I...i can't let her.

But she was even now still worried about the girl named Chieko. She'd tried to pull her over to the group meeting for a great reason, because she wanted to help the stupid chunni of a girl live. She had watched her die, and violently, in front of her own eyes. She'd seen the fear in all their eyes after that first time. She, now more than Chieko, knew the pain of dying many times more over since then!

Sure she herself was hard, argumentative, and...and letting Chieko know how she felt even at her worst because she wanted her to live. Not suffer like herself and Hiro had done so many times over and over again it wore at her very sanity.

Chieko even had the admittedly adorable Aki, who cared for the goofy Japanese girl, a person from this world who seemed to be very affectionate to her. Affectionate to that kindness, even if awkward to Aerith's perception at times, that she seemed starved of somewhat. Aerith could see that kind of look, of someone who just didn't have things the best. As 'bad' as herself? She had no idea, probably worse if she had to guess, but-

This is so dumb, but i won't sit by and do nothing. We came arrived together in this new world, and as much as we've been bitching...ok, i've been bitching...we are going to survive this even if it kills me again!

-it was a death sentence with Quill. So with all this in mind, she had to do something. Her conscience wouldn't allow her to act otherwise.

That woman, that blade, that fire Aerith knew Hiro and herself were intimate with the use of by now, all of it was itself was dangerous to the core. She heard the woman's threats a minute ago as well, what she'd said to Chieko, what the other girl had said and done to try to save the other two of them who had hesitated to do a single thing. It was embarrassing, stupid, and ultimately suicidal since Chieko knew she was bold-face lying to a total murderer.

Yet Aerith couldn't help but feel that had been her plan to save the other two if she had been able to speak first.

Ironic, wasn't it?

But eventually, Aerith had finally shuffled into the nearest room she could find deeper into the clinic, looking about for anything to make use of. Donovan wouldn't help, Quill would kill Chieko, and Hiro would be killed if he made any moves at all perhaps. Anything at all to use would help, bone-saw or otherwise if she had to make do.

***

After finally entering the supposed patient room, Aerith felt a grin come to her face.

Instruments, bottles of what could be medicines, and a tub of water, sat all over a table along with as several candles for lighting. A room for surgery, perhaps? A room for storing tools and supplies? It was perfect, regardless. So many metal things...wait, metal! A stark contrast to the wooden walls of this place, and highly vulnerable to certain things.

All of this together gave Aerith an idea. An idea about as stupid as Chieko's, if not ultimately dumber than that! She had to uphold a reputation, after all, of making stupid decisions in the eyes of the other girl. Heh.

Aerith grabbed several smaller metal instruments, jamming them into the top of several of the melting candles. Sure, the fire burned her hands a little, but this was all according to keiaku for her. Aerith then took a couple of the other candles, and sat them against the wall. She then cracked open a couple of smaller bottles, sniffing them...alcohol. Perhaps for wounds, or numb patient pain for amputation? Didn't matter.

The dark-haired girl poured two small bottles of the alcohol all over the table and the nearby wall near the two candles. Before a moment too soon, the medicinal booze caught fire, one which would be spreading very quickly.

She then grabbed her tool-filled, very-melty hot candles on stands, two of them in total, and left the room quickly but very softly. She had to get to the entrance before the fire did, after all. It would be a bit as the place caught ablaze before they noticed, a short time window but plenty enough for her to do what she planned!

The moment Aerith would get around to the corner to the front area, she didn't even hesitate for her next action. She popped around the corner as swiftly as her athletics-trained body could muster, and hurled her scaling-hot candle-and-tool payloads at Quill with full force. At the same time, she screamed at Quill and the cat as loud as she could muster from her lungs.

Still, though, what had she actually whispered to Aki before going back?

Frankenstein's Monster (Fran)

Sapporo

'Yes, let us wander about until whatever did this jumps out and gets the initiative. I am no barbarian, but at least i don't just attack people in a duel out of the blue.' Fran wrote in the air for Jin with her stick, tempted to make one of those 'rude' gestures humans seemed to love using in their media. But no, to her and for now it was not worth the bother. Would have been as bothersome as actually talking, really.

Yes, a careful approach was one thing, but if their enemy was hiding then calmly wandering would only keep them hidden or able to take the initiative. At least in her mind. Much like a scared rabbit...or a certain man....if one drove them out of the hiding place it could allow them the initiative. Or at least lower chances of am ambush perhaps? She was smart, but she was no tactician, nor was she a petulant child as this fool of a swordsman was insinuating. A fool for having an idea? No, no she was not. Of course there was danger in this, but at least the man who she had walked here with (albeit he had seemingly frowned at her too) was offering to take her up to another level.

She glared swords back at Jin, before walking over calmly to where the dark-skinned Ben was standing.

'I supposed driving out our enemy of their hiding place was a viable plan, a surprise if you will. But yes, i would be glad to search from the top with you.'

Fran then gently reached towards other man's hand after putting her stick away again, though a bit of hesitation was visible on her end. She was not one for...this kind of contact really. Master was kind, and there were other servants like Sir Babbage who were very kind, but...to touch the hands of another human was alien to her. Alien and even a bit instinctually frightening...she was just a monster after all. Though it was a rather odd issue, to be frank, and she did not want to fall behind for he time being unless this group proved evil.

Besides, could this man lift her weight with bridal chest included?

Regardless, she finally, cautiously and carefully, took Quick Ben's hand and gave a light accepting nod to him: signalling she was ready to go.

Robin

Akihabara

Robin observed and listened on to the others as she went about looking at what the white orb had produced. Various red, blue, and green lights, scattered about what was a three-dimensional map of what she assumed was this city. It was odd yet fascinating, better than a normal map of her world save for how it had come into existence only after battles against shadowy (and perhaps all fake) foes. The tactician searched her coat for emergency quill and paper, maybe to record to general patterns of things down, but to no avail.

Robin merely let out a small sigh, before looking to the map again, finger under her chin as she began to ponder what it perhaps meant once more and attempted to memorize the general distance that seemed to be on the map. It was a big city, to be sure, but using estimations of the towering size of what was around them...hmm....she felt she had a very rough grasp of things perhaps. Maybe these dots were various types of enemies, higher or lower tier in nature? Or perhaps dangerous area of varying degrees? Perhaps it was even enemies, safe zones, and potential allies at the various locations being marked.

Though as one of the two younger girls that had approached them seemed to make a loud retort, or at least start to and stop herself, Robin's attention was swiveled back over. Brows furrowed as she listened to the exchange between Abigail and Chris, before she stepped over as the smaller girl attempted to again start to 'explain' what she thought was going on. Though it was obvious the two girls has far different experiences and definitions of the phrase 'Master'...

"I know events similar to this myself, but...definitely far from the same. Do you think this situation is similar to what you are calling a 'Singularity', Abigail?" Robin said, taking a knee as she talked to the little girl again, serious but calm, not dismissing Abby's words but instead trying to pleasantly coordinate with her and give her the chance to speak without interruption.

For all she knew, her and this girl, and perhaps the others, had bits and pieces of what could be going on. Or at least, this was all an initial base to form theories or stratagems for all of this in the foreseeable future perhaps.

@VitaVitaAR@Rabidporcupine@PKMNB0Y@Raineh Daze
Mina Kreiger (Alloy)

"...Roger that, Headhunter, Chatterbox," Alloy said quietly over the comms whre only the Jacks could hear, before beginning to sprint towards Chatterbox and Whimsy as fast as she could, her face wearing a rather grim and somewhat wrathful look, "Losing armor on my back though for this so far. But this bastard won't get his hands on Whimsy, or the rest of the civilians..."

The metal-skinned girl had cut off using her charge as soon as it seemed ineffective, though she could feel a lessening of the metal skin on her back. Death was a fact of life, a thing she had seen amidst her work and heard about and...witnessed firsthand when she gained her powers. But to see someone mow down civilians, even if manipulated ones, like mere fodder was crossing a line for her. This asshole, no more like "Dr. Doomed" was going to get what he had coming. She could handle Chatter doing some manipulation, he didn't go and just murder them, but this was a while nother' level. And to wanting to turn one of the group into a guinea pig for study? That too was unacceptable.

This guy, he'd have his balls roasted off before she was done. If he had any left by the time they got their hands on him.

Of course, as much as she was pissed, she held it back as best she could. This was no time to go on a hulking rage, and ruin plans.

Allison Mead (Excaliblast)

There was a stairwell not too far from here...that she knew for a surety. A more secure route than an elevator would perhaps be, if these twats had any measure of tactical sense about them amidst this revenge plot. Sure, it was a run in the opposite direction than she had just initially come out of her classroom, but she at least had a barrier, and the little wall indentations near classroom doors for at least "adequate" cover. The brown haired girl git her teeth a little she had thought about these things.

But something was wrong, the moment that PA system finally went quiet....as silent as the grave perhaps. It sent a chill down her spine, her instincts screaming "GET OUT OF THERE" to her body. After all, she had just...she had just laid into the Community's leader like he was the little bitch he was, hadn't she? Fact #1 they had learned in class, the Community was a very attached group. So the moment the gunfire stopped for a moment, Allison's body moved without thinking as survival instinct took over briefly. Legs pumping, heart thumping in her ears, the blade barrier making an excellent backboard for a running start.

She ran, ran as fast as her legs would push her. Yet as she ran the bounce of an object seemed to ring in her ears as well, registering as loud as dropping a pin on the floor of a silent room could seem. Considering there were guns, and these guys were crazy bastards, she didn't even think about what it could be. A damn grenade, some tinker construct, Patriarch's shriveled liver, didn't matter since she would need to put distance between her and it regardless...at least according to her gut and her brain in unison.

The college girl took a dive towards the nearest corner that turned down the hall, trying to just put distance and...well, she supposed make her way towards the other stairwell at this point. Maybe. At the moment, the desire to "not die" was stronger. Much stronger in this moment.
@Holy Soldier So it took longer than i thought with doc appointments and work scheduling stress coming into play, but i did it! :D

How are you doing?
Zelah

Deity: Hylia

Time/Date: Day 1, Morning

Location: Bugut's Wagon, Underneath Tarp

Tagging: @Holy Soldier@Rabidporcupine

Zelah nodded at the plan, slowly removing herself from under the tarp and moving behind the cart to try to help this...er, vagabond of a boy try to steady the kids if anything went wrong. Though she did quickly take a few bites of the little food she had been handed back, swallowing it with a bit of savoring. She still didn't know this boy's name, but she at least understood what hunger could do to a person. That still didn't make thievery of food a good idea, however, with the risks and potential downsides it offered, such as word of you being a thief spreading about via travelers at places like these. However, she would support this little sneaky endeavor for the sake of this Zora child, as well as...well, she and this skinny looking Sheikah boy needed food it seemed. At least, only if Koja was willing, as she wouldn't force him to get her food as well if he didn't want to.

However, as Cidro scrambled to stop the toppling toddler tower of terror, Zelah felt a small mite of surprise as the boy seemed to channel...was that wind magic? She almost froze to ask, were it not for reaching over quickly to stabilize the tarp. Only so much she could grab onto and stop from oddly flapping more suspiciously, so there was still a risk, but what she could have done otherwise to try to help might've...drawn negative attention. All of the negative attention. And started a panic perhaps.

"Are you ok, boys? Koja?

By the Hylian goddess...we need to be swift if we are going to get to the river, in case this drew anyone's attention,"
Zelah said quietly to the boys, before pulling her hood back up and attempting to sneakily peek over/around the cart and see if they had drawn any attention.
Lilianna Rotz

Not So Long Ago

"Doctor, you made us late to get here!" the undead Gazer said, floating at top speed through the station as a floating, claw-armed robot, with a brain inside a jar on top of it at that, was moving alongside her at haste (unlike pic, one monitor is displaying eyes/mouth more neatly, other two mechanical limbs are just deft mechanical hands with five fingers each).

"It is not my fault! Those blasted crew need to learn how to properly carry a valuable specimen in its chamber! I had to oversee the installation in my part of the lab anywho...had to make sure everything was in its place so i know if that lout i heard works here touched it or not!" the male human voice of Dr. Chamberlin rang out from the moving robot via a speaker, a slight crackle to it that seemed both...eerily sensitive about the matter yet also distinctly grumpy.

As the two moved, they nearly ran into several people...some of which gave confused looks or glares at the near-collisions it seemed.

"So you sent the mech here early, right? And you are SURE they are letting you borrow that small drop pod so we can catch up?" Lilianna shouted back once more towards Dr. Chamberlin, a bit peturbed but hasty in her tone herself, "And are you sure you wanna come along? I'm not sure how weird this is gonna be!"

"Don't be such a frightened child! They won't miss it, not like i asked them anywho, and it will be faster to get planetside this way! I say...we should be congratulated for finding such a great way to get you to your new team!

"....wait....WHAT?!"

Current Time

The second team would, if looking skyward or having sensors on, detect a fast-falling object....a large one-

-wait, had someone used one of the drop pods Jenny could fit in?!

"Attention, second landing team. This is Dr. Chamberlin, a high ranking personnel and a new transfer to the station. I am here escorting my ward, who has been transferred to your team.

Of course, due to 'crew issus' we have arrived late...just got to the station not that long ago i'm afraid. So unprofessional!

But in lieu of this, i deigned to borrow a drop pod to get my charge and her mecha here quickly. Of course a bit of tweaking to the launch speed had to be made, but it is acceptable within the pod's design parameters.

So with this in mind, i heard another was around these parts, a certain-"

Dr. Chamberlin's voice chimed over the comms in a calm, professional, restrained mannerism befitting perhaps a gentlemen of a nation once called 'England' in the far, far past. But before he could continue speaking another voice cut him out over the comms, perhaps background noise ringing out as the dear doctor had the comms still turned on.

"DOC, I'M GONNA KICK YOUR ROBOT ASS INTO NEXT WEEK IF WE LIVE THROUGH THIS!!!"

Oh dear.

And that drop pod was moving...ah!

T-That was a bit to fast a velocity to safely-!

CRASH!!!

The drop pod slammed into the ground, the sound of metal crumpling some under gravity and kinetic impact. A dramatic entranc that kicked up some dirt, to be sure...but any questions as to the status of the individuals inside of it was soon to be revealed. Arm by arm, a set of tentacled mechanical limbs pulled open a pair of dented and warped metal panels on the side of the drop pod. This was eventually followed by more of these arms, and one with a satellite-dish-like appendage at the end, and then eventually a floating center body that seemed to have a bunch of red eyes.

The air would clear a bit, revealing the odd look of this particular mechanical being more clearly in all of its metallic glory.

"Ah..hah....NEVER. AGAIN. DOCTOR.

Wait! The comms are still on?! Er...

Ahem, Lilianna Rotz, reporting for duty! The lateness and this...crash can be blamed on the dear doctor who decided to come with me for some reason. Heh....ugh.

Lilianna was not happy about this entrance. Not at all. Even her tentacles were almost writhing in her frustrations at Chamberlin right now. Albeit, the doctor was too busy checking system and...was he whistling? The gazer rolled her various eyes at the whistling track the doctor had loaded into his vocal interface, apparently.
