Current Two days ago, Noble Arms is indisputably four years old, spread out across three threads, and the third thread is still ongoing and about to reach the endgame...

Noble Arms is now either four years old, or three years and eleven months. The third thread had lasted for more than one year.

My Roleplay, Noble Arms: The ASEAN War, will reach its 4th year in June or July. It's been a long journey.

Chapter One, Desperation in Lingayen, Part Six

Lingayen Beach, Municipality of Lingayen, Lingayen Gulf

"The enemy Arms Master we know for sure is after us is Ren Huo - Or was it Huo Ren?" Noel responded to Regina punctually. "His Noble Arm is a Spear which allows him several Sun-themed powers - That means he's most likely the one projecting that Artificial Sun above us. Thankfully, Princess Fukuyo here is strengthened by fire and heat in general, meaning that she can counter him long enough for us to stab him in the back. As for the other Arms Masters... I don't have anything yet."

And indeed, the Princess could feel her Noble Arm being strengthened, and it was faster than it should be even in these circumstances. She might recall a memorandum from Japan's Military Intelligence that Ren Huo might have a secret weakness; that he seemed to empower every Arms Master who based their power on fire and heat whether he was willing to or not.

Those rumors were further confirmed once the Artificial Sun suddenly began fading, turning transparent until it vanished completely, leaving a clear sky. Noel's strategy, discussed with Callie and Nil, to use Henri to negate the magical construct had succeeded, with Henri's dive into the giant ball of fire, a dive where he had been able to activate his 'Anti-Magic', being the decisive factor in halting Ren Huo's onslaught and the near-loss of the defenders.

In the air, Lotus Squadron could see the man with the spear, Ren Huo himself, halt completely in his tracks, and Kaitlyn could see him as well, and if she requested Qingshe for a telescope or already had binoculars, she could have a closer view of the man who had caused so much havoc on his own.

"Fireteams one and two - All of you but Nemo can reach him with your powers!" Noel shouted, clearly remembering Regil, Lucy, and Fukuyo's abilities in particular. "Prepare to attack; fire at will when we get the enemy's position through the comms!" He then shifted topics, "Lotus Squadron, do you copy? If you've found Ren Huo, give us the coordinates of his position - We might have a chance to rub him out of this world!"

He then took the time to walk up to the smallest Arms Master (Nemo) and give the boy a cautious head pat, before saying to him, "You did well in the previous stage of the battle. Now, I presume you have more powers than what you've already shown? If so, while the others blast him, tell me all about them so we can use your Noble Arm better."

Then to Qingshe, Noel continued, "Can you relay a message to Private Pierce? Tell her she's amazingly good with kids; can she and you help me protect this one?" he gestured to Nemo, "We can't avoid all trauma, but we can use whatever support we can to get through it and even minimize what we get..."

Team Callie had succeeded with flying colors, giving the Main Group a chance to deal with the enemy who had cast the Artificial Sun. It was almost time for the real deal to set, and the sky was brightly lit with red as the area cooled. They could see from their position that the Chinese Fleet was holding back, making no moves to attack for thirty seconds - An eternity in a modern battlefield. Was this because although the ships had been reset yet again by the mysterious Arms Master who was frustrating their efforts, the crewfolk who had been killed on the vessels had not been so lucky?

Either way, this would be enough time for the Main Group to fire at Huo Ren, enough time to get off one or two blasts, but that wasn't their problem right now.

Because in the thirty seconds' pause, the earth was shaking, even though it was not being pounded with artillery. The Philippine marines that had been stationed on Team Callie's new hill were vanishing, many turning to the just-appeared team of Arms Masters for help before they were swallowed into the softening ground. Then, when the three members of the team were finally alone, yet given enough foreshadowing of their enemy's nature and capabilities to be afraid, to sense that they were being toyed with, the earth underneath them began to crack, with small chunks of the hill breaking loose and tumbling down towards the beach...

Just as the three of them saw Sophist flying towards them, lightening gravity in their area so that they were almost floating, "The person behind this must be nearby - I've lightened your gravity to allow you to escape, then we're going to find whoever is causing this once we find another vantage point!"

Ken Illustrious Ikari

As he sought the source of the wraiths which haunted the apartment, slicing through ghosts with his magic blade as he went, Ken gradually, painfully, realized something. He did not want to abandon Reverio and Chinami. It wasn't right to do so, not after what they had gone through and what he had gone through. Was it so conventionally kind others might find it boring? Yes it was. But Ken wanted to own that behavior, make it his' and ingrain it into his psyche to the point where it was indelible. Why should he be afraid of them hurting him? Pain was a part of life, meant to indicate what damage needed healing and what dangers to keep away from, but it can also be a survival instinct gone wrong.

Same for Hate (capitalized); it was also a survival instinct, sometimes useful for taking out threats and disposing of truly monstrous folk, but more often than not going out of control and consuming oneself and all around them...

As one can see from the IC posts, the RP will have its Grand Finale in this year or the next!
@Bartimaeus, is the Scholar class allowed? It's not WotC, but you said that you can be persuaded to allow third-party stuff if it's not absurd...

Edit: I'm thinking of a Fighter/Scholar who will eventually become an Eldritch Knight.

Edit 2: After talking with Bart in Discord DMs; I decided not to join.
@Bartimaeus, I might be interested.

Edit: Here's what I rolled:

Raven Rivers

"I'll melt the base entrance with the laser, then," Raven said, intermittently panting between each word, "They should have fun navigating molten metal and rock..."

Then they received a message from the Captain himself: The Crimson Fists were coming. With a note of urgency in his tone, Raven shouted, "I'm melting the base entrance now!"

A few seconds later, Raven's cockpit was sweltering to the limits of normal human endurance and the enemy supply depot had been rendered unusuable. Now it was time for them all to go, and Raven followed after the others as they went to the designated escape route, hopefully still covered by ECM and with some more moments to spare before the enemy forces arrived. Even then, Raven knew that their new base might have been compromised by the Colonel's transmission, meaning that it was imperative they get there quickly before the enemy decided to send an expedition to their makeshift 'home' (quotation marks deliberate).

Another part of him hoped that the Espian Free People's Movement and their armed forces made use of the inevitable reprieve for them well; Raven still rooted for them despite everything everyone else said.
@Silverstein, sorry to ping you here, but are you still in the RP? You have not responded on Discord lately.

Are you in need of any help being involved in the IC?
GM Post - Moonstrike HQ

As Joey rushed towards the fleet the other Rebel Cells had mustered, the sensors of Team 2's small ship began to register a series of space-time distortions; multiple Spacewarpers, more of them than had been seen since the war, were popping into the area, led by a gigantic dreadnought which had towed in several more ships which had no FTL drive of their own, thus boosting the size of this strange Armada. What were they? Ever since the Windsor Autonomous Trading Fleet was implicated in the RealAscendancyStockBets mess, there should be no human-owned flotilla of comparable size -

But it was the Windsor Autonomous Trading Fleet, resurrected from apparent death or disappearance to swamp both Moonstrike and the other Rebel Cells' fleets with both numbers and ordnance. Centered around Queen Elizabeth II, a trading ship as large as an Ascendancy Dreadnought and which now boasted shields, armor, and row upon row of guns and missiles that made it clear it can act as one. And over open comms, a voice echoed out, the smug tone belonging to one William Windsor of the Autonomous Fleet, whose face flashed on all available screens.

"Greetings, this is William Windsor of the Windsor Autonomous Trading Fleet, and reports of our demise, arrest, and disappearance have been greatly exaggerated," the young man then further explained, "They sent Admiral Laguna after us; we fled before her and took everything with us to deep space. Now we're back, armed and ready to fight against the Ascendancy... As all of us, rebels are committed to doing, yes?"

There was a sharp note to his last word which indicated he knew more than he actually did. This was confirmed when he said out loud, "We have the President-for-Life's wife in our custody; don't ask how we have her. Let's just say that there are revelations which need to be aired, revelations which will make or break the prospects of a united Rebellion."

Two messages would then appear before Queen Anne's Revenge's screen.

Silence Windsor; he's a danger to all of us and a false Rebel! A desperate message from Moonstrike One.

Wait for the First Lady for Life to tell us everything, a mysterious text from someone named, 'Snowy C.'

Which directive would be obeyed, even as the AI would sense her companions mysteriously disappearing?

GM Post - Korta Homeworld, Mother

Team 3 suddenly received a transmission from the planet below, a transmission broadcast to all ships in the region:

"The Korta Matriarchy has declared a state of emergency," the speakers of their ship voiced, "Half of the Ascendancy's armed forces have disappeared; so have several human-led pirate bands which had been sighted close to this area no less than a few days ago. Taking advantage of this, a coalition of political dissidents, former officials of the Ascendancy Government, and various ex-military officers have gathered together in the Solar System itself, on the rebellious moon of Titan, to declare the formation of the 'Restored Commonwealth of Humanity'."

Any available screen then lit up, showing what was undeniably Finbarr, surrounded by officers and politicians considerably older than him, standing with a portal at his back and wearing a smart-looking military uniform of white and electrum (a mix of silver and gold), saying, "For far too long we have let the Ascendancy lie to us to keep their own power, directing us against an 'alien menace' they provoked themselves for their own gain! I am a Star Marine, a child they had turned into a soldier, used and abused for their plans! Now, we, those who truly have Humanity's welfare in our minds, have had enough! The President-for-Life shall fall!"

Then, all of them received a mysterious transmission, saying, The Pirates have been dealt with. Go to Episilon Theta to help Ashton and the others.
