Current Attn teeny boppers: You realize adbots aren't ppl, yes? They randomly generate login info, then execute pre-programmed posts. Your rage-spam goes unheard by the machine. And is equally annoying.

If you're going by UK conventions of knighthood/nobility, yes. It also would be pronounced like the "dam" in "madame," rather than like a Dick Tracy "daym."

I know I already posted, but @Zeroth mentioned there'd be some in-class hero exercises and if everyone's going to be a part of that then they would need to be in the same class. And if everyone's in the same class, they would need to be in the same grade, but there's a large range in ages. However, if not everyone is in the same class there won't be a lot of interaction inbetween those in different grades. I'd just like some clarification on the subject...

Everyone will be in the appropriate class for their age, but since exact birthdays aren't clarified, there can still be a year's margin between students of the same class. For instance, a freshman could be 14 or have already turned 15. It's up to players what class they want to be in. Each of the NPC teachers will be a homeroom teacher of one of the classes as well as a specialist in some subject that they teach to all the others. For the hero exercises, all classes will do those together for the sake of convenience; they'll be like field days. Interaction between the different classes can also happen during break periods, lunch, after school, etc. Because we'll be skipping over the boring stuff, these breaks will actually compose most of the "in-school" time. And conflict with the villains will usually happen outside of the school itself, I'm wagering, so people from different classes will be able to meet up for those battles.

Question for ya, @Zeroth

you think it'd be possible for Bonesaw to attend the opening ceremony here if she was wearing the schools uniform? It's unlikely the heroes would know her face, since it's always covered most of the time whenever she's out doing villainy stuff, and with a little makeup she could probably pass for a school kid, I'd imagine.

She's not going to be doing anything, aside from...watching like a creep and scoping out this new class of heroes~

Sure, you could do that. She'd need a Student ID to get past the security system, which would imply she's either killed or beaten up some other student--which makes for a mystery for whoever finds the body. The only problem is, if she's discovered, she's way outnumbered and outgunned so escaping would be one heck of a problem. But like you said, no one knows her face, and with some makeup and a uniform she could pass for a student. If she tried to attend one of the classes, though, she'd probably be outed during the roll-call.

@Zeroth With one person dropping out would that mean a spot opens up too?

Sure, I'll add you to my list of reserves. Do up a profile and send it in!

The first IC post is up, albeit a bit later than I intended, sorry! Everyone's intros should concern them getting to the entrance ceremony, as well as any optional description of their day or whatever you wanna do to establish them. The NPC Heroes, or at least the first batch of them (not sure if I should add more) are also up under my post in the characters tab.

IKUZO, MINNA! PLUS ULTRA!

"All men...are NOT created equal."

Beginning with the birth of a luminescent baby in China, more and more "Quirks," or superpowers, began to appear among humanity. Today's society is composed of superhumans, with 80% of the world's population possessing some form of supernatural ability. The paranormal has become the normal. In the wake of chaos brought about by those who would misuse their powers for evil, a new profession arose--while the justice system struggled to adapt the laws around the presence of quirks, those with courageous hearts rose up, and leaped into action! Soon, all the world recognized them, and gave them the only suitable name...HEROES!

Brave City's sprawling metropolis is well known for its super-modern skyline, with miniature sky cities dominating the smaller skyscrapers and other buildings; winding roads and overpasses criss-cross through these towers of glass and steel. Though a young city compared to its fellows, this place is a beacon of the potential Quirks have brought to the human race. Hyper-intelligence Quirks and Creation or Invention-type Quirks are responsible for its futuristic structure and many of the all new, experimental architectural and technological designs going on their first test runs throughout the city. Super strength or such things as levitation are used to complete construction projects in record time. And even the task of law enforcement is supplemented by those superhumans among superhumans: Heroes!

But Heroes are not born, they are made. And where are they made? Brave High, that monstrous tower smack dab in the center of the inter-city! With its gigantic walls of reinforced steel, state-of-the-art scanners, and even new experimental tech that not even their rivals have access to, it's the only Hero school in the country that could be said to rival that bastion of justice, U.A.!

And today, of all days, is the beginning of a new year for the bright students of Brave High. Welcome, students, and future heroes, to...

YOUR HERO ACADEMIA!

Tatsumi gulped as he looked up, and up, and up, at all 450 meters of Brave High's campus. Rather than being spread out along the ground, like a normal school campus, the building held to the same efficiency standards of the rest of the city and tried to cram as much into a single space as it possibly could. A central building, like a giant baseball diamond, sprouted four enormous towers that stretched up into the clouds. Super magnetized elevators could be seen zooming up and down through reinforced glass tubes along the sides of each tower, and there were even moving walkways between the longer stretches of campus. Bright red stripes cut through the dark grey, reinforced walls of concrete and steel and the dark tinged glass that made up the rest of the building. Red, just like the uniform blazer he now wore over a white dress shirt and black slacks. Red, the color of courage, just like the school's namesake and motto.

"Courageous Heroes are the strongest." Tatsumi said to himself as he looked down at the acceptance letter in his hand. He scratched the back of his head through the white knit hat and the messy, dyed blonde hair underneath. He sighed, and tucked the letter into the pocket of his blazer. Could someone like him really make it here? He'd be starting as a freshman, despite his age--Brave High used a westernized four-year system instead of the usual three--because he'd already had to repeat a year once. But maybe that was good. Maybe it was good to have a completely fresh start. He looked down at his clenched fist, and forced himself to relax. Yeah, he would do it! He'd become a Hero! And he'd rise above what everyone else had said, what his whole life had been up until now!

Noticing the crowd growing thinner around him as everyone headed for the auditorium, and the entrance ceremony, Tatsumi took off at a jog to try and catch up.

This is just a notice to let those who were interested or still working on characters before the applications closed that I'll still accept CSs from you if you're still interested--I know some of you are but haven't had confirmation from others. If you've decided to drop out, I'd also appreciate you letting me know.

For everyone else, I'm working on profiles for the NPC heroes that will serve as the teachers, and will try to get the IC up and running later today.
@Chaotic ChaoCould do what I did when I was trying to come up with my characters' powers, just go to the Superpower Wiki and hit Random Page until you hit something interesting. Just keep in mind there are a lot of overpowered abilities listed there which wouldn't be allowed in the RP.
@Chaotic ChaoRedrum has already expressed interest in a Green Lantern style construct generator, Rune_Alchemist already has a barrier creator, and Inertia has a character who generates explosions. And we already addressed the overlap with the chains and other constrictors, so...

Hmm, as far as "originality" goes, I'm not disallowing "cliche" powers or anything, it's just that I don't want a lot of overlap between people all being able to do the same thing. Even with everyone so far having interesting powers, you can see by looking at some of our skills that there's still some overlap (things like propulsion for high speed movement using explosions or psychic powers or sheer muscle) but that's to be expected simply because I'm sure everyone here is creative enough to find a lot of uses for a single power. So maybe you could go with something similar to plasma manipulation, like electrical manipulation or fire manipulation? We don't have any "pure elementals" yet, so to speak.
@clanjosMaybe flesh it out a bit by including what his goal for the future is and why he chose that goal?

@Chaotic ChaoSorry, I saw your PM but I've been trying to respond to everything. Anyway, I suppose it depends on what you wanted to do with each power--Chain Manipulation seems like it'd be best for restraining people, but we already have Falkon's Plant Manipulator and, to an extent, Dblade's character who would also be good at doing that. Plasma Energy would need to be toned down at the beginning, since plasma as a rule is extremely high temperature, but it also seems like it'd be pretty much limited to energy blasts, which Lmpkio's character already does, although I suppose his are more like blunt impacts even though one of them does cause burns.
@QuatroFeel free, although I mean it this time this is the last one!

@Dblade26Looks good, accepted! Within your limits, the specifications you've already put into your profile will work fine!
@Chaotic Chao@RedrumYou two, along with anyone who's still finishing a profile, will be our last additions--although I'm also going to double check and reserve room for the people who showed up in the interest check, since I'm not sure if all of them have already joined yet.

@Great SogekingSure, go ahead!

@Rune_AlchemistVillain looks good, she's approved! Within her limitations, her bone growth speed should be able to produce a sword-sized bone in just a second or two, and she's good enough at controlling the growth to shape the bones pretty much any way she wants. I'll also rule that, as long as she's eaten all her vitamins in a 24 hour period, that she actually can make the bones as dense and hard as regular steel, until some of them have been broken or used up.

@Knight of Doom Your character is accepted, nice work! And within her limitations, I'll rule that her claws can be as sharp as combat knives, and that her top flight speed (which she has to gradually work up to after liftoff) is 120 kmh (around 75 miles per hour) horizontally and that a dive can take her up to 200 kmh (a little under 130 mph). So while her power takes a while to activate and doesn't increase her strength, she can at least move quickly in the air and defend herself if her weapons are disarmed. As always, she can increase the effectiveness of her abilities over time.

@FalkonYour character is also accepted, and I like the spin you took on traditional nature manipulation! I'll rule that because of his limitations, the vines he can produce are as strong as a tough piece of rope, so they can't simply be ripped through by a restrained villain. Without Photosynthetic Surge, he can cause plants to grow up to three times bigger and faster than they normally would, and under a bright sun and with plenty of stamina to draw on he could instead cause them to grow five times bigger and faster. By expending enough energy to exhaust himself this could be increased, and of course he'll grow over time.
@InertiaThat's fine, villains aren't required.

As for a soft cap, I don't want to deny anyone who's applied thus far, but I will say I honestly wasn't expecting this much interest this quickly. I think once the current group still working on their profiles finishes up, I'll close the applications at least for a little while, until we've adapted to whatever kind of pace the RP ends up having.
