Fiore || Magnolia || Phoenix Wing Guild @zarkun

Gideon's first two weeks in the guild were at best kinda frustrating. As the renovations were being done he had helped out where he could but most of the time had no idea what he was doing. Once he decided to bring out Thor's hammer and try to use it as a tool but that cause way to many problems and might have almost electrocuted someone. Apologizing profusely to the person and staying out of the way were his punishments. There had been no jobs to take on and no one to talk to during the two weeks due to a job that was all the talk. What was he to do? Finally there had been an announcement to meet in the guild hall to hear. The Grand Magic Games. This was going to be interesting. He doubted he would be allowed to participate but hoped he might get a chance or maybe at least a job to go on while the games where going on. He was just itching to do some guild work. Suddenly it hit him...He hadn't gotten a chance to talk to Guildmaster Jarvis yet!!

Gideon had been rummaging through all these thoughts has he woke up. Bolting up right as he thought that he needed to talk to the guildmaster. He rushed to get his clothes on and sheathed Cailburn at his side before bursting through his door and nearly knocking some people over in the dorm. "Sorry!" He yelled back at them and then slide down the banister, jumped off to the door, and burst through it. This time he knocked over a plant that had been sitting on the outside of the dorm next to the door. Not caring about the plant of the still open door he tore across the way to the guild hall.

Stopping just before the door he calmed himself and entered. Scanning the hall for signs of Jarvis his eyes came upon the man who he had drug off the floor. "Well while I wait for Jarvis I might as well find out who the man is." Gideon walked up to the bar and took a seat next to James and poked him on the shoulder. "Hi umm sir. The name is Gideon and I'm not sure if you remember me at all but I pulled you off the floor about two weeks ago." Gideon said as he haled for an ale which again came promptly. Taking a drink he waited for the man to say something if anything to him.

Lazarus

Lazarus had spent the past 2 weeks to train. After hearing the queen's lenient, yet horrifying sentence, he didn't want the company of anyone.

They returned to the guild, himself and Sasha. Everyone rushed up to them, happy that he was a free man. However, he couldn't help feel a tension in the air that could not be broken. He couldn't take it anymore after a few days. He found Sasha and told her he was going to train alone. He didn't give a location, nor when he would be back. With that, he left.

The guild hall doors opened, and Lazarus walked in, sac over his shoulder. It would be weird for people to see him This is is because he had changed his appearance. He had ditched the white suit, and had replaced it with a far less outrageous attire. He was wearing just a jacket, made out of a pelt with white fur, open and showing his body. He wore plain training bottoms, with boots. He had gone and got his hair cut too, it now not being long enough to dangle in front of his face.

He looked around. "Hey... this place has gotten pretty nice you know!" He exclaimed referring to the renovations. He looked more toned in physique. 2 weeks worth more toned. He dropped his sac filled with some food and water. He grunted. "Where's my favorite and only team member?" He called out. He felt good for a change, like he was moving in the right direction with his life.

He had apparently returned at the right time, as people were gathering. The only thing he could think of that would require this kind of meeting would be the grand magic games, the event which he had dreamt of winning and hailing ever since he learned of it.

Shujin

Shujin walked into the guild hall. Having left Master Jack's office. In the last 2 weeks, he had resigned from his post working for the kingdom, and had become an official member of Dragon fang. His guild insignia had been placed onto his left pectoral, and was in Purple. He had already experienced what it was like to have family.

He had already completed his first guild job, from which he had returned a few days ago, successful, and a bag of gold in hand.

He had gotten to know a fair few of the guild in his short time there, although he already knew prince. He took some of the money out of the bag, and placed it into his pocket, before sighing. He threw the bag up onto the beam, to where prince was balanced, assuming he would catch it. "You were right... the job took 2 days." He had wagered Prince half of the job reward, even though it was small, that it would only take him a day as opposed to 2. "Enjoy it you fur-ball." he chuckled before settling down in a chair, and exhaling deeply.

He thought to himself, already storing it as a fond memory. The guild really had accepted them as one of their own, and that made him happy. He called a little way across the room, to Ammy. He knew all about the grand magic games, having worked for the kingdom, but it would be nice to compete. "Ammy? Do you know if the master has selected you for the games? He has to right?" He asked. "I think Dragon Fang can win. All of us here could team up in a pair, and the combinations of magic would work." He grinned.

Phoenix Wing

There wasn't much that she had to say about Time Lord, really, but Jarvis had just seemed so busy that writing up a report seemed like it might help him. She'd also visited Karn once, and made it a point to do things like pat his busted leg. For pretending like he was fine, of course. It was hard not to notice, honestly... She also made it a point to wear his gloves.

Other than that, she'd been practicing her magics and keeping herself busy. She'd play music in the park for a bit of coin or just wander around to familiarize herself with the city and the local area. She found some good spots within the city, too.

Today, however, Jarvis had called them to meet in the hall. Trinity descends the stairs from her room. She spots Karn, curled up in a corner, and she sighs softly. Well, something had happened to him, apparently. She approaches him and stands behind him before she starts running her fingers through his hair and rubbing his scalp. "Hello, Karn. Leg's feeling better?"

NOLAN

Nolan sat in his usual spot at the counter sipping his morning coffee and munching scrambled eggs mixed with ashes and toast with jam that as well was topped with ashes. It was a meal that would cause any normal person to gag, but to the God Slayer it was just a nice smokiness added to his meals. It's odd, but then again when a mage has to eat ashes for sustenance then it's not too surprising that they would develop a taste for it.

His meal and the announcement for whatever Jarvis had to say was the furthest thing from his mind. Two weeks ago he had left Fiore without saying a word to anyone except Jarvis, saying that he had some personal business to attend to. He had traveled to Caelum by ship since it was the only way to get to the island country east of Fiore. The length of the trip was two days and during that time he had remained recluse, avoiding social interactions with many other travelers on the ship that were heading to Caelum. Because of that Nolan earned the title of "That Weird Guy" and if anyone tried interacting with him he was just as icy as a winters day and if it was a woman then his face burned like summer. It wasn't to say that it was time well wasted though. On that trip he had finally learned how to use a magic that he had been studying through a book: Swordsman Soul. It is a magic similar to requip though it only focuses around swords and one must put a piece of their soul into their sword, thus becoming an extension of its wielder.

It was all in preparation for the reason of his trip. He was heading back to the ruins of the God Slayer's temples to retrieve their artifacts, the god slaying swords or better known as the Gods' Bane. These weapons were made by master God Slayers and master craftsman as tools to kill the gods. They could be possibly some of the highest quality weapons that ever had been made, but they were trapped in the ruins of the temple. When Nolan first left the ruins his biggest regret was to never be able to bring those swords along with him due in order to keep his load light. He worried that the weapons would've been found by someone, but it was an unnecessary fear. They were stored in a room protected by a charm that allowed only God Slayers to enter. He wasn't afraid that the weapons were destroyed, it would take more to break those weapons than a crumbling building.

In two days Nolan had arrived in the country of Caelum in the familiar port town of Ortu Solis. It was an estimated five day journey to get where he wanted to be. Within the three days he had encountered bandits and other criminals from different walks of life such as slave traders. There were many that had attempted to kidnap Nolan or steal from him, but it all ended the same. They were reduced to smouldering ashes. In that spine of time he had crossed through a few towns to resupply on good and water. Some would say that it was a lonely journey, but for him being alone was necessary. No matter who he gives his trust to he would never trust anyone enough to take them to the destroyed ruins that he had called home for eight years. He probably never trust anyone enough to do that.

There it was, the ruins of what he once called home. A stone temple, a quarter of one, the size of a castle stood there blocking out the sun's rays. Nolan had stood there as he looked at what had become of his home; the statues had all crumbled, plant life was starting to grow on the walls, and animals seemed to have made it their home. He would not cry for the things he had lost for tears would never bring back the dead. Nolan walked through a gaping hole in the structure's wall only to be in complete darkness. From his pocket he produced his lighter and flicked it on to light his way. Deeper and deeper walked into the temple thinking about the times he had in this place. The first time when he ate ashes for his magic he gagged and spat it out because it tasted like "smoked turd." The first time he sparred against one of the monks and won in an even fight though it was likely the elder was holding back. He would give anything to see them again, just one time would've been more than enough.

It was soon that he found a massive stone door with various scriptures on it. Nolan unsheathed Kaso, pressed his palm against the sharp edge, and swiftly swiped his palm, causing his hand to bleed. His blood was the key, the blood of a god slayer. His bloody palm pressed against the wall, the scriptures glowed faintly for the briefest moment. Slowly, but surely the wall rose up to reveal the armory. He walked in and marveled at the blades. Not once had they gained a speck of dust or rust. They shone brilliantly just like any blade to kill the gods would. One by one Nolan had placed a part of his soul into these blades and then stored them in a pocket dimension so that he use them whenever.

When that was done he made his way through the darkness and this time he found the door. It was massive and heavy, but for him it was easy to push it open, but he wasn't prepared for what was on the other side. He wasn't alone. A man was standing on the broken stone cobble that lead towards the door, void of any human emotion. Nolan could never forget this man's face. It was him.

"You bastard!" Nolan had unsheathed Kaso, charging straight towards the man, but something hit his stomach; a large white fist that glowed faintly as it bent Nolan inward. The wind was blown out of him and wasn't even given a chance to fall to his knees. A flurry of those fists smashed against the god slayer at speeds he could never react to. Blood seeped from his body as he fell onto his hands and knees. He gasped for desperately for breath. "You, who are you? Why did you kill them? Why did you kill the monks?!" His eyes glared with passionate hate into the eyes of the man who completely lacked emotion.

"I no longer have a name." The man spoke monotonously. "I am just a simple messenger of the gods. You and those monks offended the gods with your magic so I was sent down here to put a stop to it. And you're asking yourself why didn't I kill you too? I simply don't care for killing children. I still don't."

"Tch, you bastard. I'll kill you and then the gods!" Nolan tried to yell at the messenger, but the pain in his chest was just too great.

"Kill the gods? How can you kill the gods when you can't even kill their messenger? The man had knelt down to Nolan and placed his hand on his back, his hand glowing with white energy. I have no intent of killing you. I'm merely here to observe you. If you wish to kill the gods and me then let me offer you a gift."

Nolan shook his head as he tried to stop thinking about it. Why did he let him live and why did he give him this ability? It was Shaman Magic, he knew that much, but why did the messenger give this magic to him? Was it pity or did he want Nolan to kill the gods as well? He couldn't say.

ZEV

Zev sat around laughing around with his guild mates. It had been two weeks since he had joined and had taken up many jobs since then to support his daughter. Meanwhile they were both staying at his mother's place so that someone would take care of his child while he was away on jobs. It's been some real fun, but it should be even crazier with the Magic Games coming up.

Fleo Plector – Guild Hall

After rolling over for the fifth time, Fleo decided with a groan that it was time to get up. After the installation of her room's windows, she had adjusted the curtains just enough so that the filtering of the early morning sunlight would wake her at about 7:30 each morning. As such, she begrudgingly knew, she had only herself to blame for not being able to sleep in any more. She shook her head furiously to clear out the remnants of sleep, and rose to her full height on legs of dust. Another wonderful addition to her humble abode had been a locked door; Nolan had followed through on his terrified promise and helped her to get a new one, and shortly thereafter the security measure had gone into place. With a new guarantee of privacy, Fleo had grown acclimatized enough to be able to remove her bandages and ball them up before sleeping, allowing her to rest a little more easily. Holding her hands out, Fleo summoned the dusty bandages to her, and with practiced precision they raveled themselves around her limbs. Next came Fleo's blue blouse, and given the increasingly chilly weather as summer slid into autumn, her burnt-orange jacket was donned as well.

A few minutes later, the dusty woman stood in the guild hall proper. Even if Jarvis hadn't issued a mandatory summons, she'd be there anyway. Her eyes fell upon the table at which she and Felix had spoken a few weeks ago, back when she was brand new. Fleo couldn't help but feel bitten by sorrow, seeing that particular bit of furniture. Among the jobs that team Powder Keg plus Ariel had gone on during Nolan's extended absence was a personal one: her quest to find where her friend had vanished to. From the beginning, the magnetic boy's wordless disappearance had filled her with a worrisome dread, and as the team had followed a faint trail through several towns, that apprehension had swollen like a malignant tumor. When finally the trail went cold, no answers lay in site save one: either Felix was dead, or he'd completely and totally abandoned Phoenix Wing. Torn between resentment and concern, Fleo only ever decided that the experience stung her.

But such was the nature of life. Friends came and went, sometimes after a farewell banquet, and sometimes silently in the night, leaving nothing behind but their memory. At least Fleo knew, leaning against the wall now, that Nolan would be returning. She was anxious for him to be back. Sure, Ariel was useful enough, but having a half-dozen personalities and counting made her unreliable at best, and without the Ash God Slayer, team Powder Keg lacked a definitive leader. Other than that, things had been about as normal as could be for a guild such as Phoenix Wing. She had made it a point to go in and give Karn her well-wishes during the two weeks, for though she didn't know him very well, she had seen enough of him to know he was a unique and bright spark that shouldn't be left to smolder alone. Spotting Nolan, Fleo pushed herself off the wall and made her way toward him. She dispatched an order for oatmeal to the tender, and plopped down beside him. "Heyo. Haven't seen you around in two weeks. Awfully inconsiderate of you not let your best friends know. I won't push it though; you look even more grim than usual."

Xyster - Magnolia

From the moment that she first stepped foot on the platform, the Dullahan knew she liked Magnolia. It had been some time since her last visit, and that undoubtedly on guild business. Today, all the time in the world lay at Xyster's fingertips, and she could practically feel the unique energy of the city. Before she could browse the boutiques and visit Magnolia's landmarks, however, an even more eye-opening experience lay in store. From the elevated platform, the Dullahan could see across the city the home of the wizards she was dying to meet. Without much ceremony, she popped her head off, and held it up with her hand to get a better view. In her excitement, Xyster quite forgot that she stood directly in front of the train doors.

“Move,” grumbled the man behind her, and as Xyster stepped off to the side, he strode out into the sunlight. Immediately he squinted in distaste, and wiped a peremptory hand across his forehead. ”Ach! An' here I thought Oak Town were too warm! These southern towns're downright tropical!” Joakim shook himself, refreshing his own small Arctic enchantment to keep cool, and made way for the other soldiers to exit the vehicle.

Sighing, Xyster tucked her head beneath her arm and grinned. ”You're always complaining about the heat, you blue-haired coot! Hot weather's great! You should see how quickly bodies decompose in conditions like these. It's like, you're dead, and then...” she snapped the fingers of her unused hand. “Bam! Rotten!”

Stroking his beard, Joakim considered her argument. “Perhaps. Bones are easier to extract in such a climate, with the flesh softer and whatnot.”

Whirling to face her superiors' way, Harper made a horrified face. “Yuck! Could you two stop talking about death and bones for a second or two? We're just about to meet one of Fiore's oldest new-age guilds! Good impressions first, weirdness later, that's what General Sanders said. Permission to get going already, corporal? I'm itching to parkour the heck outta this place!”

Xyster readily gave the young ninja leave to dart off. Carriage travel, however, suited her and her remaining two companions better than a wild dash for the guild hall. About halfway through the ride, she spotted a group of kids goofing around in the street, and held her head out of the carriage window to spook them. Nandy Rewman, the party's fourth member, smiled to see the children cavort, alternatively squealing in fear and laughing at the ridiculous expression on Xyster's face. So far, the dark-haired boy hadn't said much, but in truth he probably paralleled his C.O. in eagerness to see Phoenix Wing. When the carriage finally pulled up next to the guild hall, he was the first one out, though Joakim and Xyster were not far behind. As he went to knock on the door, Harper jumped from the roof and landed beside him, smiling widely. “Hah! Slow poke!” she beamed, jabbing Nandy in his unprotected shoulder. ”H-hey! Uh. Don't poke me! Not my, uh, my fault that th-th-the carriage's so slow!”

Rolling her brilliant green eyes, Xyster waltzed up to the door and knocked away, her head nestled beneath her arm. ”Hello in there! Anyone home?”

Zander – the Frenzy Fort

Hands clasped behind his back, the Ruby Knight faced the others with a rigid posture and a clear, imperial voice. “Right then! Today we begin day fourteen of our special preparations! By now I don't need to repeat to you all the necessity of learning and becoming proficient in non-magical combat. You know your drills and your one-steps; I want to see five of each drill, and five of each one-step from both partners. Afterward I will give you special instruction. Begin!”

The assembled soldiers teamed up into pairs and began to practice. Zander scrutinized each with an authoritative eye, but he wasn't the only one. New on the large, main chamber of the Frenzy Fort's bottom floor, the Training Room, was none other than the Tactician himself. Seeing this, Zander hurriedly made his way to the old man's side. Chances are, Sanders merely wished to observe how the training was coming along, but chances were something that the Ruby Knight didn't take. “Yes, General? What can I do for you?”

Cormorant Sanders took a sip from his canteen before replying. In the presence of the man, even Zander couldn't help but feel intimidated. This was a man who'd seen it all, the veteran of several wars and battles untold. Most men would never know as much about strategy as this elderly campaigner had forgotten. Though at first unimpressive to the eye, General Sanders gave off the air of one not to be trifled with, and never to be ignored. Perhaps, Zander had speculated often, reality itself bent slightly around the old man to cast him in a better light—given his signature but often unknown magic, it was a real possibility.

“Have you decided who among Cut Capers will be the final representative of our team in the Grand Magic Games?”

A test. Zander was wise to the general's practices. Of course, Sanders already knew who'd be the best option, but in giving up the final authority in the matter he evidently wished to reassure himself of the Ruby Knight's own judgment. ”Actually, I thought that Sasithorn would be better suited than either Demetri or Owen. Owen, of course, is a marvelous fighter, but the other guilds will be able to throw incredible magics at us. Better to field a physical fighter that can eliminate magic than one whose own is not versatile. Plus, it would be a momentous occasion for Hyun, perhaps one she really needs.”

Sanders nodded. “A wise decision. I'll inform her former highness myself. In case you are unaware, I gave Xyster permission to head to Magnolia and...ah, scope out the competition, along with Saxum, Rewman, and Fortinbras. I've received word from Afina that her team will be back very shortly from the uprising near Web Valley. Complete success, she says.”

If not for the visor of his helmet, Zander's relief would have been very visible. “Excellent. It's about time that sideshow ended. We will be at full strength for the games then, sir.” The knight's eyes landed upon two of his students, Virgil and Cecilia, who had ceased dueling to discuss something. ”You two! Standing around and chatting is not becoming of soldiers! We've only a minute and thirty left before break; I want to see that fan and that sword dancing!”

Karn
Fiore || Magnolia || Phoenix Wing Guild

@CirusArvennicus

Karn, leaned against the table before blinking as he felt fingers brush against his hair. Turning his emerald eyes, he smiled brightly as he saw Trinity. She had visited him once when he was home. Brought him food since he couldn't go get it himself. It was nice to have company, made him feel a little better.

"Oh hello Trinny! Yeah my legs all better now. Doesn't hurt anymore. How about you, you've been well so far today?" he asked, cheerful as usual as he smiled brightly to her. Slowly uncurling himself, so he sat at the table properly.

Prince
Fiore || Shirotsume || Dragon Fang Guild

@Zarkun

Prince watched his fellow Guildmembers do their usual routine, chattering and laughing among one another. He spotted Shujin and chuckled in mild amusement. Although the feline didn't show it, he did watch the new recruits the day they got here. Jackie and Shujin, although he was friendly and ready to give them the benefit of the doubt, he did watch for any signs of deception. A part of him was a little protective of his Guildmates. Sure, they could take of themselves just fine, but they'd still be hurt if they were deceived and he didn't wan that. But everything has been fine, and Prince helped show the newbies around. Shujin especially needed a little more lessons on Guildlife since he didn't seem to have any experience.

One point, Shujin and Prince made a little wager on a job. Shujin seemed quite certain it would only take a day, but the feline man was quite positive it would require the rookie two. It seemed Prince won that wager, since Shujin returned and tossed him half of his gold. It was alright though, Shujin would learn quickly on how things worked and how one could read a job. Course, there was always those surprising incidents that may pop up but those were less predictable.

The newbies had settled in nicely over the two weeks, so Prince didn't feel the need to be too concerned.

Ears twitching as he watched as Hunter once again come in and start a Guild brawl, the feline simply chuckled in amusement. It was a daily occurrence here at Dragon Fang, especially with Hunter around. Prince of course, didn't usually get in the brawl, simply because he usually dodged all the blows. Plus, better to let them tire themselves out while you have full energy.

Eye flicking to Master Jack and Ammy along with Shujin, the feline hummed, listening to the chatter that went on as he leaned against another supporting beam. Prince was fairly interested in seeing the Master's choice. There were plenty of good canidates. He knew Hunter would throw a bit of a fit if he didn't get in. A rambunctious man, but the Dragon Slayer was a good fighter. But the Master might let the newbies take a turn, show off what they have in a proper match.

Prince himself, didn't really care if he was in the match or not. It was all in good fun for him. With the brawl going on, he thought it better to stay up on his perch and simply observe. Watching, and finding a proper target he was in the mood for. His tail fluffed a little and his ears shot up briefly as a pain struck his head. His covered eye throbbing a little. His nose twitched but he soon relaxed and grinned down below.

"Oi, you're going to destroy the hall again at this rate boys." The feline chuckled down to the brawlers, but he seemed unconcerned if there was damage or not.

James Hunt|Phoenix Wing Guild Hall

James looked up from the small light in his hand and smiled at the young man. "Ah yes, I wondered who that was, but when I came to, no felt a need to say." He shakes his head and disperses the light in his hand, ordering a helping of hash browns with sausage. "Of course, that's assuming they moved past all the drama and took notice of anything else anyways. But enough, what's done is done. Might I inquire as to your name?"

Thanking Rose for the food, he begins eating and noticing the tone in the rest of the hall. They all seemed eager to hear the team announcement for the Grand magic games and he couldn't blame them. Over a hundred years ago, this was a big event. And now? This first set of games meant that magic was finally being accepted again. Turning back towards the young man, he stopped what he was about to say when there was a knock on the door to the hall and a body holding it's head under the arm popped in. "Hello in there! Anyone home?” He raised an eyebrow and suddenly felt the day had just gotten a lot more interesting.

Damian Gerard|Phoenix Wing Guild Hall

"Hello in there! Anyone home?" Damian turned his head from watching Karn and Trinity talk, a smile on his face knowing the young shape shifter was alright after their ordeal on Mount Hakobe two weeks ago. That smile quickly turned into a look of confusion when he saw the head in the crook of the arm. If it wasn't for the fact the person...thing...person had announced themselves, he'd have thought they were attacking the guild.

Still, Jarvis was busy at the bar, so as the only S-Class present who wasn't in an overly foul mood, he approached the girl person thing and opened the door the rest of the way and found she wasn't alone. "Uh, well, right. Welcome to Phoenix Wing. I'm Damian Gerard, also known as the Blade of Phoenix Wing. Can I help you with something?" He knew most people didn't know his actual name, which is why he included the nickname. He raised his eyebrow though. First the headless girl and now a ninja get up? What in the world was going on?

Hunter Jorgenson|Brawl in the Hall

Almost as if karma had it out for the catman, Hunter was sent careening into him by a giant arm from the guild's resident Titan magic user, Harold. Even as Hunter collides with the catman, knocking him off his beam, Hunter catches it and swings around, sailing at the man as his arm is enveloped in green energy. "Jade Dragon's Spear Arm!" The attack hit Harold in the chest and sent him sprawling as Hunter landed and then leaped onto another of his guild mates, landing a solid punch to the guy's chest.

"Sorry about that, Prince!" He ducked the guy's counter attack, a punch aimed at Hunter's head, and head butted the guy. This was fun, a good brawl to start the day. But he knew that after a few more minutes Master Jack would intervene to keep the hall from getting damaged. Still, it was great, even though they'd all be sore, a friendly beating was fun.

Michael

@Zarkun@Silver Fox

Michael stood in front of the guild hall for a good several minutes. He shifted his bag several times, as if it was heavy, or a great burden, as he tried to pick up the courage to enter. Why hadn't he gone with Gabriel? But he could just imagine Gabriel, berating him for being so timid.

Micky, you can't go through life so timid and silent! Step forward! ENTER! it would be something like that. Michael nevertheless stood in front of the guild for some time. Dragon Fang. Michael had done research on which guilds he might want to join.

Unfortunately, Gabriel hadn't wanted to go to Dragon's Fang. Not for the first time, Michael wondered how two people could be so different, and yet, so much the same. Michael swallowed, picking up what small courage he had, and stepping forward. He entered the guild, looking about, and just about froze when he saw how mnay people there were.

He gave a squeak, and thought about running off. But it seemed like it was too late, and Michael wanted to join, he did. "uh....I.....e-e-e-e-excuse m-m-m-m-me" He said in a very soft voice, but at least it wasn't a whisper, as he stumbled over his words, "I-i-i w-w-w-would like t-to j-join" He stared at the floor, a bit too terrified to look at anyone.

But there seemed to be a fight going on, and Michael had to get out the way, scrambling away, but he stumbled, fell and wondered if this was the guild for him

Gabriel

@lugubrious

Gabriel was thrilled, excited, fired up! He was joining a guild today! he was going to be one of the most powerful Wizards of all time, he just knew it! He was going to have so much fun, meet so many people, and just...be a guild wizard! His pack was over his shoulder, his spirits were in a pouch, token like things, that represented just what they were. Rat, dog, the smaller spirits. He had everything he needed, and that was all.

Well, except for Michael. At the thought of his brother, he slowed, worried for his chronically shy little brother. Well, moments younger, but still. He sighed, wondering if Michael had picked up the courage to go into the guild he had chosen. Gabriel stopped, wondering about his brother for a few moments, before sighing, and looking at Frenzy Plant.

He stepped in, and said, quite loudly Hello! I'd like to join!"

Sasha

@yipeeXD

Sasha couldn't help but smile, relieved that Lazarus had returned safe, and this time, quicker then he had before. Sasha rose, still smiling, darting over to Lazarus. the guild was fuller then it had been for a while, so many members (NPCs) returning from jobs, or just waiting for the announcement. There were new members, of course. it made Sasha happy.

She hugged Lazarus tight when she got to him, "Here" She said brightly

Jarvis

Jarvis looked around, wondering how he should start this. He sighed, and just simply said, "We all know the grand magic games are coming up in a few weeks, on the 30th. I think its time to name those for the team. We can have as many teams as we like, but I am only going with two. There will be a initial round, that eliminates many teams. But I think two is good. I've thought long and hard, and have finally chosen the teams"

He stopped as Damian answered the call, and waited for that to be dealt with. Some might think he was doing it deliberately, to bring more suspense. But really, he was just being polite. But it seemed like it was going to be an interesting situation, so Jarvis watched, for now.

Maddox

The past two weeks at Phoenix Wing hadn't seen much of Maddox Colburn. While in the past he was known for constantly taking jobs, he had been busy otherwise lately. Training. Something he hadn't done in years. In fact, it was likely that he hadn't attempted to train even once over the years he has been in the guild. While he did train his body, it was not his focus. Daily exercise and workouts kept Maddox incredibly fit already. But instead he was training with his magic. His fights at the council, several weeks ago, had proven that years of being idle had taken its toll. His magic had atrophied. Now he was determined to get back into shape.

The red-haired mage strolled into the guild hall. His hair was slightly longer, and some might still not be used to his leather jacket (compared to his old jacket), but he hardly seemed different. Maddox checked in at the hall every day, to let everyone know he was alive and also to see if Jamie had returned yet. But today seemed different. The moment Blink stepped into the hall, he saw that most everyone had gathered around. Something to do with the upcoming Games, I bet, Maddox thought to himself, standing at the back of the crowd with his hands in his jacket pockets. An interesting strategy to change how the world looks at magic. Showing it off in a positive light. Naturally we're going to want the flashiest mages. For the first Games, winning isn't really important.

Or at least that's how I see it.
With a small grin, Maddox moved from the crowd and sat down at a table, crossing his legs and waiting patiently to hear who would be in the teams to represent Phoenix Wing. After the speech would be concluded, Maddox intended to talk with Jarvis anyways. To see if he knew anything about how Jamie was doing. Not that Maddox intended to bring him/her back, but just to see if he/she was at least safe. A vacation is always nice, but Jamie was a famous person. Infamous to criminals and dark mages. Being alone is dangerous, emotionally and physically. Maddox knew that all too well.

Beatrix

"About damn time." The tan woman was standing on a hill, overlooking Magnolia. An evil grin had formed on her face as she crossed her arms over her chest, tapping the gauntlets with a metallic clink. Her adventure in Edolas was not a pleasant one, having been captured, tortured, and used by the Edolas version of Maddox. But she had managed to escape with the help of Edolas Damien. It was a hassle staying under the radar after that, because she knew the Phoenix Wing of both realms would've tried to capture her as well if they found her.

But here she was, cocky as ever. "I learned from my mistake last time," Beatrix admitted out loud, still looking down at the city. "Fools can't be reasoned with. I'll just play it safe and wait. The time will come when I can kill you. I'll make sure to give you an extra beating, for your Edolas version." Beatrix pulled up her purple cloak, bringing the hood over her head and letting it conceal her identity. The only thing visible from under the cloak was her bare shins and black boots. "And if any of your stupid friends try to get in my way, I'll show them what a real dark mage is capable of."

Phoenix Wing

Trinity smiles softly when Karn looks up at her. "Heyya, Karn. Yeah, I've been alright." She circles around and sits with him. As he uncurls, she takes her gloves off and tosses them into Karn's lap. "Found these a couple weeks ago. I think the owner is sick, I found them with blood coughed onto them. I was hoping the owner would come to claim them, but he hasn't. They're very nice. You wouldn't happen to know owns them, Karn...?" She looks him in the eye, patient, knowing.

Jarvis began his announcement, Karn's answer or no, pertaining to the magic games. "Oooh, Karn, who do you think he'll pick? I'll be sure to cheer you on if you're on the team." Jarvis was waiting to announce teams because Damian had answered the door. Such was the polite thing, but why right now? In the mean time, it seemed as though Maddox had returned. The white-haired waved to him, though she wondered if he'd look her way.

Karn
Fiore || Magnolia || Phoenix Wing Guild

@CirusArvennicus

Karn smiled brightly, glancing to Damian as he went to interact with the people who decided to pay a visit. They smelled a bit funny, but he didn't really feel any hostility from them.

As Trinity placed a pair of familiar white gloves on his lap, Karn curiously picked them up and examined them before stiffening at the woman's words. Oh.. She found him out. What does he say? He was horrible at lying. But he didn't really want to say the whole truth. "O-Oh these are mine. I just had a pretty nasty cold." he said.

Luckily, Jarvis caught both of their attention as he spoke up to discuss the teams for the Magic Games. Karn was looking foreword to it. It sounded fun and he wanted to experience such a event. Though he wasn't sure he would be chosen. There were several good wizards, many here longer than he has been. And so far, he hasn't really proved himself a good combatan in comparison. Still, he was a little hopeful but if he didn't get chosen, then he'd happily cheer on his Guildmates.

Of course, it seemed he'd have to wait for the results in order for the new arrivals to be greeted properly. "Mhmm well.. I think Penny or Damian will be on it. Maybe Lazarus or Maddy. But I'm not really sure. It would be cool if I was on it. I'll definetly win one for you if I get picked." he said in a excited tone, feeling a bit eager.

Prince
Fiore || Shirotsume || Dragon Fang Guild

@Zarkun@Caits

It didn't seem avoiding the brawl would be something Prince accomplished today. Since soon, Hunter had effectively slammed into the feline. Luckily, Prince was nimble so when he fell, his legs clamped around the beam so when he fell backward, he was now just hanging upside down. He could of easily dodged, he was quite faster then most here, but it gave him a excuse to touch people and eat.

"I should turn you into a gecko again, Hunt." Prince laughed in response to the apology, humming as he swung a little from his position on the beam before his ears perked as the doors open and a boy timidly entered.

Quite a cute thing, pretty blue hair and eyes with a ethereal sort of feel. The boy seemed ready to bolt, especially at seeing the brawl going down. But with a quite voice, the boy tried to say he'd like to join. The boy's voice was most likely unheard by most of the people, even Prince's sharp hearing had trouble with the loud racket going on. Didn't help the boy was staring intently at the ground.

But, Prince couldn't help but grin mischievously as he eyed fresh meat. Such a adorable human like this was his favorite to tease and greet. Today was quite a lucky day, despite Hunter getting thrown into him.

Swinging his body, Prince swung off the beam and landed neatly beside the fallen boy. The freakishly tall feline creature smiling brightly before promptly picking up the boy by the waist and helping him up. Practically carrying him away from the brawl to avoid getting a accidental beat down.

"Well hellooooooo there! Aren't you a cutie! Don't mind them, this is a daily occurrence, their nice people though. My name is Prince, and you're interested in joining Mhm?" Prince purred, arms wrapped around the newcomer, ears twitching as his eye looked down at the stranger. Leading him closer to the bar to be in a more closer safer distance and be with Master Jack, but didn't seem to have any intent of releasing his embrace.

Ariel
People were mulling around, coming in for the call that Jarvis had put out. Thankfully by now Ariel had become accustomed to most of their magics even if she hadn't started to exhibit them. Partly out of defense, partly for fun, she switched to her Charm personality and suddenly remembered that she wanted to help Nolan out. Since his return he had seemed rather down. What happened while he was out she couldn't tell but one thing was for sure, he could use a little cheering up. Had she a more discerning mind she probably would have left him alone.

Last time she just popped up next to him though and freaked him out. That would not do for getting him to relax. So this time she stepped up on the upstairs railing and held one hand out. Drawing back her other hand her magic formed what looked like a pink bow and arrow. Since their last encounter she'd been working on her magic just for this. Ariel had been making claims that she would cure Nolan of his fear no matter what. A fool's errand. With the bow mostly being for show the real magic was in the arrow. Letting it fly it shot toward his back where his heart would be.

Not particularly paying attention to her own footing she slipped and fell to the floor below, arms and legs flailing. Picking herself up she brushed herself off. There was no time to worry about the pain, she must admire her handwork. Surely another personality would complain abut the bumps and bruises. Skipping over the popped up be Nolan. "Nolan! I'm not giving up on you yet" Not staying still she whirled around to his other side to see if he was reacting any different. Why move? No idea.

Michael

@Silver Fox

Michael supposed he might, might have been okay with being picked up like a babe, if it hadn't been a freakishly tall, cat man, who smiled at him, and helped him up, before whiskering him away. The man-cat...thing actually purred. And he still had his arms wrapped around Michael. As it was, Michael was reduced to spluttering, blushing, and hyperventilating. He's palms became sweaty, clamming, letting Michael know that he had grazed his palms when he had fallen, but the slight sting was a good distraction.

Still, he was practically being embraced by a strange, stranger, and he didn't have anywhere to go. His bag had fallen in the fall, and suddenly Michael's eyes went wide, as he hurriedly shoved a hand into the pouch on his belt, letting out a relieved breath as he felt the small keys that were his spirits. He really didn't want Balthazar to yell at him. The bad tempered spirit was a handful enough, without calling Michael incompetent and a bad partner.

And still, the cat-man who introduced himself as Prince hadn't let him go. But Michael had calmed down somewhat, reassured, as he always was, by the presence of his spirits. Although his breathing was still a little too fast, and you could probably fry an egg on his face, and his palms were still clammy and he was still being embraced. He flickered a glance up at the strange man, and wasn't that something? Michael was use to being one of the tallest around, just slightly taller then Gabriel, ,and certainly taller then the other kids he had played with, Michael knew he still had a bit more growing to do, and would likely reach 6 foot five before he was finished growing, to have someone be taller, hugging you, was strange.

The cat man was just that. A Cat Man. Michael found it...not so much strange now, as...kinda cute. His face reddened further at that thought, and he glanced away as quickly as he had glanced to Prince. Well, it didn't seem like Prince was going to let him go anytime soon. Might as well make the best of it. The bar seemed the safest place to look for now, and so, that was where Michael put his sights, as he said, still in that soft voice, but Michael was still proud of himself that it wasn't just a whisper. "I...Y-y-yes, I w-want to j-join. Um." Was he missing something? He couldn't think. "Um. M-M-Michael" He stuttered out, flickering a glanced up quickly at Prince, and then away again.

Xyster – Phoenix Wing Hall

When Damian pulled the door open, the four Frenzy Plant soldiers piled inside. Joakim grumbled and refreshed his Arctic cooling spell, while Harper, done bothering Nandy for the time being, looked around the guild hall with wide eyes. Xyster's head smiled leering upward at Damian's discomfort, and she held out her hand to shake. Unfortunately, with her right hand occupied with the cradling of her noggin, she had extended her left, and after realizing her mistake just waved with it instead. “Hi there, sir! Wow, first person right off the bat is the Blade himself! Nice to meet ya! I'll have to cross that off my bucket list. Here, hold this, sir, please.” Xyster handed her head to Damian, and its smile only grew wider. Her body pulled out a pen and pad of paper from an inner pocket of its jacket, and commenced flipping through it.

Meanwhile, her head had not finished. “Anyhoo, yeah, we're just here to visit! We meant to come earlier in the year, but there was this a squabble over some gold mines out near Clover Town that escalated into a private war, so we had to spend like three weeks sorting that out. What a pain! Then there was a little civil war-sorta thing in Caelum that we got called into help with. Won that one, even though it took like half the guild! And now this most recent uprising in Web Valley. Bottom line is, we're here now!”

A tap on her shoulder caused Xyster's head to look back at her body. Nandy stood beside it, holding one finger in the air. “Uh, Corporal? You didn't even introduce us yet.”

Xyster's body snatched her head back from Damian and performed a face-palm. “Oh yeah! Silly me. Joe, Harp, let's do the thing I had us practice on the way here! Ready...?”

The young ninja, currently occupied with examining Maddox's hair, bounded back to her guildmates' sides. With a look that said 'This is stupid. You are stupid', Joakim joined her. The soldiers gathered up into a line standing four abreast, holding their left hands in fists across their hearts, and called, with varying degrees of enthusiasm, ”Hail, Phoenix Wing! On the behalf of Guildmaster General Sanders and our entire guild, we've come to greet you as noble opponents in the upcoming Grand Magic Games, of the warrior guild Frenzy Plant.”

Zander – the Frenzy Fort

Following Gabriel's call, the vast Training Room fell into silence. The Frenzy Fort's front door didn't lead directly to the Training Room, the open doors of the 25-foot square adjunct chamber allowed his exuberant shout to reach it easily. Zander, after nodding in respect to the guild master, strode at a brisk pace over the polished, russet-hued hardwood floor toward the entrance. After reaching the doors, he removed his helmet and bade Gabriel to come in. “A potential applicant, have we? Walk with me then.”

As the two went into the Training Room and headed for its center, Zander shouted, “Form a circle!” and then, at a normal voice, initiated his explanation. “Good morning. We have a bit of a process for joining Frenzy Plant, as you almost certainly know. What is your name?”

After receiving his response, the Ruby Knight continued. “Well then, Gabriel, it works like this. To become a rank, and therefore earn a place, you must defeat one of our current soldiers in a battle of the rank you wish. For every rank higher than C, you must also duel a soldier from each of the lower ranks. After you're defeated, we'll give you your guild mark on the back of your neck, and let you on in a probationary period. It won't last long; after we assure ourselves of the quality of your character, your probation will be ended, and you will be permitted to perform jobs, and eventually campaigns. Make no mistake; while you will become a wizard, and potentially a great one, and will also earn money, you are first and foremost a soldier. You will obey your superiors but also respect your subordinates. Understand? Good.”

A quick look around the assembled guild members provided Zander what he was looking for. “Alright. Private van der Putten, you will be Gabriel's first opponent.” With a disappointed sigh, the blonde he had indicated stepped forward. Drawing his sword, Zander cut two shallow lines in the floor twenty feet apart, and bade the combatants to step behind them. The lines themselves glowed a reddish hue, courtesy of the blade. Andrea didn't look very pleased to have to exert herself, but nevertheless she held her hands up in summoning position, and they began to glow with orange magic circles. Patiently, or perhaps lazily, she waited for Gabriel to prepare himself. Against the walls near the staircase, Sanders watched with interest.

“Begin!”

Joshua Tamashii - Phoenix Wing Guild Hall

After returning back to the guild from the resort job with Angelo, the first thing Joshua had done was give his resort ticket to Jarvis, telling the Guild Master to give it to Amelia or someone he thought deserving of a break or extra reward. From there, for the past two weeks, it was rare to see him in the guild, as he was often away on jobs . He mostly took hunting, security, or bounty jobs, putting his skills in combat were they would be most useful and he usually worked solo, preferring to work alone. While he often came back with a decent amount of injuries, he would just ask to be healed up before taking another job and leaving.

When he heard that Jarvis was going to make an announcement two days ago, he stopped taking jobs, incase he needed to be rested and in top condition. He had no idea what the announcement was, but if it was a really big job, better to be at his best then recovering from some fight or accident while on a job.

When the time came for Jarvis to make his announcement, Joshua gave him his full attention. To hear of what sounded like a tournament interested him greatly. It sounded like an excellent chance to test his skills against other mages in this land, something he was dying to do. Not only that but it would be friendly competition, so he wouldn't have to worry about his life being at risk. When the announcement of teams and Jarvis selecting them came up, he reigned in his excitement. He doubted he would be called, he hadn't been in the guild long enough in his mind. If he was though, he vowed to give it his all.

Amelia Averyonna - Phoenix Wing Guild Hall

Amelia spent the past two weeks at the guild, preferring not to take jobs and instead, help Jarvis in anyway that she could. She liked helping him sort his paperwork or going out into town to grab him some random item or some food to eat. When she wasn't helping Jarvis, she could be found in the guild, relaxing or in town, doing to same thing or studying at the local library. When she wasn't doing either of those, she could be found drawing, though she was very secretive about this and refused to allow anyone to see her work.

Since she spent most of her time in his office, Amelia knew about the Grand Magic Games before most, but she kept them a secret. When Jarvis decided to make the announcement, she was sitting at the bar, wearing one of her regular t-shirts with her wings tucked underneath, hidden from view. She didn't really get excited about the Magic Games. While she wanted to be of use to the guild, she didn't feel like competition or combat were her best areas. She was worried that her reliance on summons would hinder her. She also worried what would happen if her wings were seen by the crowd. The possibilities of their reactions scared her and she would prefer to avoid it facing that possibility.

Elyse Yashai - Outside the Phoenix Wing Guild Hall

The past two weeks flew by for Elyse. Being only a child, she couldn't do much for the guild, but sometimes her antics and innocence could bring smiles and lift otherwise down spirits. She loved playing with Prince when he visited and she joined her mother on trips into town for supplies for the guild, enjoying Rose's company and seeing places outside the guild hall. The only thing that seemed to bring her down was the severe lack of Jamie and she often asked everyone where her favorite Guild Master was, too which the universal answer was often a very dangerous and long job. While this seemed to make her happy, the little girl was getting impatient to see Jamie again.

At the moment she was outside, playing with several toys and having a small 'tea party' with them.

Jack the Maiden of the Mist - Dragon Fang Guild Hall

Jack became an official member of Dragon Fang and she had been less then happy with the welcoming party. As a trained assassin, she had been taught to avoid the spot light unless necessary. So to be in the spotlight was unnatural to her, but she simply took things as they came. She quickly gained a reputation in the guild of a member who preferred to be left alone and was not one to be trifled with.

She had only taken three jobs since joining the guild, all three of them being security jobs. She had preformed them to perfection, quickly finding out possible weaknesses in the security of the building she was guarding and typically capturing the thief just as they were breaking into the building in question. Any fights between her and thief would end quickly and in her favor, and she would hand them over to the police the moment she had them knocked out or otherwise immobilized.

At the moment, she was sitting in a corner of the guild, practicing her Mist Make magic, trying to make nonlethal objects again. She was making progress but slow and it was starting to frustrate her. Other then a wall, which was too simple, she couldn't make anything that wasn't a weapon. She knew she would need to make more then weapons in the future so she had to practice and master it before such a time came.

Angelo yawned as he woke up that morning knowing that today Jarvis would make an announcement to the guild and Angelo didn't know what but usually whenever the guild master says to show up you show up. Angelo was sure it was going to be something important and he would be left out but Angelo could always hope.

Angelo got up from his spot in the rafters on the beams as he got up and he jumped down from the ceiling he dropped onto the floor and waited with the others to see what the guild master would want. Angelo wasn't sure how Josh felt about him but it really didn't matter as long as they weren't at each others throats it didn't matter what he thought of Angelo cause he still had the dream to become an S rank and prove to everyone that you could become something no matter the beginnings...

He saw Sasha approaching him. She had also changed her look. She looked way better this way. It just, made her seem happier. As she ran towards him, being the typical man he was, his eyes were drawn to her now visible bust bouncing up and down on the way to him. It were almost as if it were in slow motion. As she hugged him, his eyes set back in comical fashion, and his face turned bright red, as her breasts squiged against him. He managed to compose himself. "You've changed these last 2 weeks... you look good!" He grinned, letting her go. "Why is everyone gathered here?"

Prince
Fiore || Shirotsume || Dragon Fang Guild

@Zarkun@Caits

Prince chuckled as he watched the newcomer, seeming to have a mild freakout, yet did very little to stop the tall feline. It was amusing really, and quite adorable. There weren't many around here that would give this reaction, especially in the Guild. But these were the types he loved teasing the most. Still, he was sure a part of it was because he was abnormal looking. Feline features, freakishly tall, and missing a eye and having a obvious large crossed scar on his bare chest.

Picking up the fallen bag as he walked, he set the bag on a nearby table before sitting at the bar, pulling the newcomer on his lap and happily continuing to basically glomp him. It was normal for him to do this to people, other then a certain few that would pulverize him. Like the new Jack. though most of his Guildmates were exceptions, he was just overly affectionate to most of them.

He does express it to even the newcomers, though he does make sure to be in good dodging distance with them.

As the boy gave a stuttered reply, and finally giving a name. Prince purred a little louder. "Mikey then! You have quite the timing! Just in time to witness the excitement for the Magic Games." the tall man smiled before taking one of Michael's hands and gingerly kissed a scrapped Palm, the sound of his purring vibrating against it. Pulling out a purple rose from his sleeve and waving it over the scrapes. Healing them.

Innocently, the man sat up before looking to Master Jack. "Well, I'm sure Master Jack will gladly have you. So will everyone. Careful though, or Hunter over there might knock into you." he chuckled in amusement.

Nolan glanced at Fleo and sighed heavily. She and the rest of team Powder Keg deserved to know where he was and what he did, but he couldn't do it. It simply wasn't in him to say what happened to him while he was in Caelum. It was just too personal. "Sorry." It was the only thing he could say to her. He didn't even make eye contact with her. All he did was finish his breakfast and stood up to walk away, but something hit his back, causing him to stumble forward. Just what the hell was that? He soon received his answer; it was Ariel in her charm form. Ever since she found out that he was afraid of women she had been trying to break his fear with the use of charm magic, but it always ended in vain. Sweat ran down his head like a water fall as she circled him like a vulture over a dying animal. "Leave me alone you hell hound!" Balmung, one of his newly acquired weapons, appeared in his hand with tiny spheres of blue light hovering around it. Nolan threw the blade like a lance with incredible precision, piercing a wall and then he disappeared into an outline of blue and then reappeared by his sword.

The God Slayer placed Balmung back into the pocket dimension and turned his gaze to the guests that arrived from Frenzy Plant. Ever since his trip he could see the souls of others because of his Shaman Magic. He could tell that they were all human except for one, the headless woman that carried her head around. There were strange people out there, but she certainly wasn't a human being. "Frenzy Plant? I've heard of that guild. It was one of the guilds that I was tempted to join." Approached them, keeping himself a good distance away from them still since there were women in the group.
