Morning had finally come. The sun peaked up from the horizon, shining a light on the small, slumbering town of Medburn. Beads of dew flaked the lush green grass, giving it a sparkling affect. The cobblestone streets were deserted, except for the occasional leaf, or piece of trash that floated along in the brisk morning breeze that made the trees sway in a way that they were dancing. In the morning, the town was truly at its peak, it's magnificence and beauty as radiant as the shining sun, that slowly swept over the town, fully illuminating it.

To most Pokemon, this was a wake up call. Many shop owners were already up, putting up 'OPEN' signs on their windows, and opening there doors, letting the crisp air flow into their shops. People were now scattered about the town, doing early morning shopping, or just getting outside. The rest of the town was now waking up, but there was one Pokemon that was falling asleep.

Devin was dozin off, mumbling words that he somehow memorized from the book that his head was placed on. His doze was interrupted by the sound of wood beams falling. The construction site next to the library was a mess; the most shady Pokemon worked there, an accident was always happening, and what really freaked Devin out, was that they had started working on the building the day after he arrived, and a few times he had seen one peeking through the library window at him. Whoever they were, he didn't like them, and from the looks of it, the didn't like him either, or anybody for that matter.

Their faces were plastered with an evil grin, and a scowl to go with it. They gave off the smell of rotten milk, and always grunted whenever someone walked by them, always scaring little children, and making Devin flinch. Even though they knew they were terrorizing people a little, they had a smug demeanor, and seemed not to care. Devin tried to steer away from them if he could, but one way or another, they found him. One time, he heard heavy, deep breathing, and the rustling of books on a shelf, and swore he saw something move. Whatever they wanted, he knew it couldn't be good. From then on he tried not to sleep in the library, but this novel engaged him to much, and he slept through it.

He dozed of again, but was awoken by someone's arm grazing his shoulder. He awoke with a jump, and immediately turned around, smacking the culprit in the face. The victim of Daniel's fear, turned out to be the librarian, who kicked him out of the library for that day. He had no books, and nothing to do but wander around town, watching his back for the construction Pokemon. Devin was still adjusting, but he managed to make friends with a Vanillish at an ice cream parlor. As he walked in, he thought a very weird thought. Strange... A Vanillish works at a place, were he basically... Sells his kind for others to eat. I should really reconsider my friendships. I should also stay clear of eating sunflower seeds around that Sunflora, might tick her off a bit.

"Hey Dexter. Have a seat... A Sundae supreme, on the house. What's up... You looked worried." He slid the glass filled with ice cream, chocolate sauce, whipped cream, and a cherry on top to Devin, who barely caught it. Dexter? Close enough I guess. He never really thought about it till now, but he felt uneasy eating the Sundae in front of the other ice cream who served it to him.

"It's nothing... Just... The new construction Pokemon, they kinda, try to look at me. I think one of them was watching me at night. Do you think it's because I'm... Well, you know..." Devin swore he saw a look of surprise in the bartender's fsce, but it must have been the light, as his fsce was nothing but genuine understanding.

"They are kind of suspicious, and well, they did come here the day after me and the others found you, so, it is kinda weird. Anyways, I've been open for a few hours, gonna take my break, but enjoy your Sundae. See ya." Devin looked rather let down, as that's all the bartender had to say. Devin sat there and finished his ice cream, then left the parlor.

"He has... Suspicions about you... But doesn't know yet. I don't think any of the other Stargaters know, but he's seen you. You guys have to be more careful next time."

The two others in the dark alley nodded, and dispersed in different directions, leaving the one that talked by himself. A cold shill swept over the alleyway, as well as the smell of ice cream.

I just woke up, and made it all the way to the library without flying thanks to the fact that my wings felt a little numb for a bit, and one of the first things I noticed was a clefable throwing a strange pokemon, probably a dragon type judging from the fact that he looked reptilian, out of the place. I wonder what he did in there to tick off such a usually calm normal type like clefable... maybe he just screamed too much, their ears are really sensitive. I thought as I headed inside, making sure to not accidentally bump into him as I do so. Once inside, I noticed just how big this place really was. I had no idea where to start looking for the information on new pokemon such as, well, myself I guess, but thankfully, the librarian was kind enough to help me out by asking "Is there anything I can help you out with?" I replied "Sure, um... I'm going to need a book on pokemon. One that has every pokemon species currently known about," the librarian blinked twice as if to say 'seriously?' but tried to explain as best as she could that "We don't have that kind of book. Well, okay, we do, but it's separated into smaller books by type. Is that okay?" I nodded, and the librarian led me all the way to the encyclopedias, where almost no other pokemon roamed at the time. I picked up, and read several of them, just skimming through to see the ones that I've missed, and what types they were. Through this, and from what seemed like hours to me, I figured out that I'm apparently a flying/dragon type pokemon called a 'Noibat', I also figured out that yes, that pokemon bring thrown out of the library WAS in fact, a dragon type. A pure dragon type known as an 'Axew', and they typically evolved into something called a 'Haxorus', which I thought looked pretty cool. I put away the dark blue-colored book, and read through a couple more, a black pokemon book with every dark type pokemon in there, and a grey one with every steel type pokemon.

That's when I saw the at first, innocent looking pink book. It had insect wings decorating the front of it, much like the yellow-green bug book did, but the title is what ended up making me scream. 'Book on pokemon Vol. 18 - Fairy types'... Fairy types...? There are FAIRY pokemon now? Maybe... maybe they're actually weak to dragon moves. Last I checked dragon was only super-effective against itself. I thought as I turned to the type matchups that this 'fairy' type had. Weak to steel and poison but immune to... DRAGON!? Not only that, but apparently their attacks are super-effective against dragon types. This was just about when I started screaming, well, that and throwing the book down on the ground as if it was going to attack me... and flying away from it, probably disturbing several pokemon's reading time as I did so. Just as well, the librarian caught up to me, and shushed me... I tried to keep my quiet, and eventually calmed down saying "Well, y...you might look like a fairy, b-but... at least I know you're a normal type... heh... I remember you from all those years ago..." that's when the librarian replied with "Huh? A normal type? No, no, you've got me all mixed up for some reason. I'm a fairy type," I then started screaming and flying away in panic again, which had the librarian end up physically throwing me out of the building, that is, after she caught up to me. I tried my best to cover my mouth with my wing as I tried to calm myself back down, and after that was done, I headed as far away from the library as I could.

Eventually, I made it to the ice cream parlor, where a vanillish could be seen serving that same axew a sundae. Why in the world is a living ice cream cone serving ice cream? I thought to myself as I carefully approached the potentially dangerous ice type. Granted, I was less afraid of this vanillish than I was of a fairy type, but that doesn't mean I was exactly calm around something that could knock me out from one ice beam... or worse. I started to order, but then remembered that typically, food costed money, and money was something I didn't have right now, at least, not in this world. "Well? What do you want?" the vanillish asked me, impatiently. I ended up answering "Nothing, I guess. I just remembered I don't have any money... sorry for wasting your time," I then wondered whether I should just get up right now, and leave, or stay here probably wasting more time for the cold-loving ice cream vendor if some other customer wanted to sit where I was sitting... I suppose they could just sit elsewhere, as the place wasn't exactly packed right now. I then remembered that librarian chasing me, and eventually capturing me... and shivered at the thought of that. She had me right in her hands... she could have easily killed me right there, and I wouldn't have been able to do anything about it... I... really need to stay away from those fairy types... they'll be the end of me, I just know it. I thought as the vanillish moved on to other customers, most likely, those who had money and were more than willing to spend it there.

Celina had been up for a couple of hours now. The time for her to asset the situation and understand a bit more on what was going on here. She had arrived in a world where she knew only the basics... up until generation 5. She didn't know what change there were, and seeing some strange pokemons, including what seemed to be a floating cotton candy... she knew she had a lot of learn about. She headed towards the library, only to hear what seemed to be a bat scream and get kicked out of the library by a clefairy. I looked at her and frowned a bit, looking then at the bat that had been kicked out. She then walked inside the library, staying calm a bit. The clefairy looked at her.
"Well hello? What kind of book you looking for?" it asked. Celina looked down embarrassed a bit.
"I am looking for a book about pokemon's... like.... a list of them and such." she then says. The librarian looked at her.
"Another one? We don't have that... but we have by type..." she then says. Celina breath deeply.
"That will do... I... just want to check somethings." she says as she head to the place the clefairy pointed.

She noticed a book on the floor after that. Something about fairy type. She picked it up. A new type? Last time that was added, it was back in generation 2, where steel type was added and that it's defense beat everything else. Well... almost... She looked into the type, and skimmed into the list of pokemons rather rapidly, seeing that the type itself was strong against dragons, as well as dark and fighting. Although it was weak to poison and steel. It was... interesting. She then looked into the other typing, seeing that the bat she saw earlier was a noibat, which was dragon type as well as flying. She looked into the others rapidly, seeing by each type. After she is done, she put the book back and then headed outside. The clefairy just looked at her go. For Celina, it felt weird to walk with these short legs. It took her a while to get use to it.

She then headed out and started to explore around town a bit, looking around the place, worried right now. She had to learn about this world a bit more. Cause she didn't know if she would have the chance to get back to her world or not. And anyway, with what would have happen with her missing that tournament, she might end up having a good amount of people getting mad at her cause of this. She shook her head. How the heck was she suppose to know she was going to be transported into another world anyway. She looked around and then saw that noibat again with an axew. She was unsure about them, but then walked forwards a bit. And being a normal type like her... she kinda wished she would have changed into something else, cause it was rather hard for her to get around.

Doc Siward

The sun was yet fresh in the world, but the black sailcloth hat on Siward's head had already been in place for hours. It had been a peaceful night, but a long one, and though he wore his cloak and staff like one well used to travel, he was still weary, and his hearty stamina would take some time to replenish itself. No matter. Medburn was a familiar place to the Doc, and now that he had at last arrived, he could take the day at its ease.

At least until word got out that he was here, at any rate.

Siward's reputation wasn't particularly outstanding, but he was a medical man, and sometimes old patients formed strong preferences for whose care they'd dedicate themselves to. And the tightest bonds were always formed in the shady dregs of the community, where trust was a scant commodity, and injury was almost as common as it was among Explorers. Both Guildsmen and felons populated Medburn in plenty. With the Stargate looming just over the horizon, it was no surprise that this town always seemed to be in the thick of the action.

And those in the thickest of the day's gossip, as always, were the food vendors. "A sorbet of Wiki berry in caramel, Elliot, with frozen yoghurt and a double scoop of full cream," opened Siward to a familiar Vannillish, carefully placing a selection of gleaming zinc and brass coins on his counter one by one. He was always careful with counting money. It endeared him to salesmon and not many others. "And in a glass, if you will." Elliot nodded and scooted over to serve a rather less impressive customer, an Axew apparently named Dexter. Siward ate alone and silently. Many residents here frequented Elliot's business, and he was an avid talker when he felt like it. The Doc's patients would soon enough know.

Shortly he clinked his glass with a spoon to alert Elliot that he had finished, and followed Dexter out. A thought occurred to him, and he tapped the Axew on the shoulder with his walking staff. "You there, boy," he intoned, not too sharply. Axew didn't come around these parts often. Perhaps this one had immigrated to look for a career in one of Medburn's few distinctive industries. He had paid Elliot like someone without much in pocket. "Are you in affiliation with the Exploration Guild? If so, I have a small errand to be run. If not..." He held out a slim, brassy yellow coin. "You may be interested in running it anyway. My name is Doctor Siward. I can give you directions."

Mizu wandered around town grumbling under his breath and glaring at anyone who looked at him funny. 'I hate this stupid town. All of this potential money surrounding me and I don't get to touch any of it. Instead I got to find some stupid Axew, and then just watch him!I don't even get to beat the little lizard and take his stuff! I'm not meant for this type of work, I can't even go into the library without the librarian watching me like a Staraptor.' Mizu kicked a nearby rock and growled under his breath.

A few minutes passed and he made another pass by the library. It seemed to be where the Axew spent most of its time. He couldn't go in though. He left that to Him instead. Mizu's head whipped towards the entrance when he saw the Axew get kicked out and he quickly hid in a nearby alley. He then began following the Axew as stealthily as possible and watching him. This was so stupid and irritating.

The small Axew jumped as he was poked on the shoulder. He didn't want another library incident, so he calmly turned around to face the person who poked him. Devin was uncomfortable in this town, and even more uncomfortable when faced with talking to a stranger.

"You there boy, are you in affiliation with the Exploration Guild? If so I have a small errand to be run, if not..." He held out a slim, brassy yellow coin. "You may be interested in running it anyway. My name is Doctor Siward. I can give you directions."

Devin wasn't familiar with there way of currency in the Pokemon world, nor was he remotely ok with running an errand of someone he just met, especially with all the strange things going on lately. The Axew looked like he wanted to say something, but couldn't, so he stood there with his mouth partially open for a few seconds, before he managed to get something out.

"Well imkinda newhereso... Idontreallyknowmuch andimafraidicantresllyhelpyaso... Ibetterbegoingandum.... Ilseeyousoonmaybe?" The Axew skipped away as fast as he could. Especially when he noticed people giving the doctor strange looks, and backing away from him. Devin stopped in an easily visible alley, were the 'Doctor' could easily find him, but it wasn't only the doctor who wanted him for something. He heard deep breathing coming from the alley, and when he backed up to run out, he bumped into something. He looked, but there was nothing there. Whatever it was, it felt scaly and rough. Devin soon felt pressure on his throat, and a green hand materialized out of nowhere, latching onto his throat.

On the other side of the alleyway, a Scyther appeared from the shadows. One of its blade hands was glowing a brilliant blue. He was slowly walking towards Devin, each by inch, each step, making Devin more terrified.

"Hey, Mizu, we got 'im! You better come quick, before we have all the fun!" Devin tried to call for help, but he only managed to get out, "Heeeeeee-" before the green hand closed on his throat even more, making him unable to talk, let alone scream.

Kel had just gotten back into town from a mission far up north, a Staraptor had been up to no good and had to be brought to justice, one of Kel's specialties. But he'd turned him over to Magnezone and got the reward, now it was time to stow away all the goodies that he'd found. Anything he would find useful later on (Reviver Seeds, Oran Berries, most healing items, a few TMs) he would put away at the local Kangaskan Storage, sold anything else he wouldn't need at the local Kecleon shop, and stored all the money away in the nearest PokeBank, keeping some on hand to grab some Ice Cream from Vanillish's Parlor.

This was a nice little town, not much trouble ever happened nearby, Kel liked the peace and quiet. He calmly strolled through town, passing by the Library on his way over to the parlor. When he got there an Axew was just leaving. He saw why now, it seemed Vanillish had just left for his break, what a let down. He was going to wait for Vanillish to come back, but something caught his eye: A strange Aromatisse talking with the Axew that had just left. He watched Axew back off and duck down an alley, and trotted over to investigate. That's when he heard something.

"Hey, Mizu, we got 'im! You better come quick, before we have all the fun!"

Then he heard a cut off scream, and decided that something had gone too far for his liking. He turned the corner to find the Axew being grabbed by a Scyther. "HEY! What are you doing with that Axew?!" He yelled at the Scyther, bending his head down as he turned into his Resolute Forme, bringing out his Secret Sword. "You've got about five seconds to give me an answer pal, i'm not in the mood for thugs like you."

Mizu turned towards the Scyther and grimaced. 'Did that idiot really just yell that out in the middle of a populated city?' Mizu rushed over and was confronted with a situation that he would rather not go through. One of the SECRET SWORDS WAS NOW ONTO THEM AND WAS READY TO SKEWER THEM BECAUSE OF THIS GUY'S IDIOCY! "You idiot! I can't believe you just yelled that out in the middle of a town with a Guild in it! Now I have to clean up your mess!" Mizu looked absolutely furious at this point and his claws were glowing. He then turned to Kel. Mizu began to calm down and took a deep breath.

"Listen kid. I know you think you're doing the right thing and all, but you should really back off now. It's two on one and we have a hostage. Several hostages if we decided to take this fight out onto the streets. So I suggest you walk away and forget this ever happened. Not only do you save us a lot of trouble, you save yourself a beating and you save this town a hell of a thrashing. Deal?" He reached out his claw with a predatory grin on his face, inwardly hoping he had managed to negotiate his way out of a tough situation. If they took it onto the streets the whole guild would be on them within minutes. Mizu would have to retreat and face the Boss with yet another failure... yeah, he wasn't going to do that in a million years. The boss scared HIM when he was mad.

Kel looked at the Gabite square in the eyes, and calmly walked forward. He had his claw extended as If he actually expected HIM to make a deal with him. Kel smirked and used his Secret Sword and knocked the claw away. "You really have no clue how to negotiate with a Pokemon who's sole purpose in life is to enforce justice, do you? I don't negotiate with Pokemon causing trouble, unless they have a perfect reason why they're causing it!" Kel held his ground, and stared at the twosome, still holding onto the Axew.

"How about I make you a deal, I don't know who you are, nor do I care unless your faces are on wanted posters. Let that Axew go, and I'll let you leave without any trouble. Otherwise, I know perfectly well that you know there's a Guild in this town, and you'd know what would happen should a fight break out..." Keldeo assessed the situation quickly, and decided that this was the best course of action. He didn't want this to end in violence, he always tried to keep fighting as a last resort. Usually he'd use his Resolute Forme to intimidate his enemy, only engaging in combat when absolutely necessary.

"Last chance pal, leave peacefully, or you'll be leaving in chains with Officer Magnezone, your pick." He stared at them, showing them that he was completely serious and meant full on business with his threats. He'd done this before with troublemakers in towns, he knew the tricks of the trade. He waited cautiously for their response, unsure of how tough these two could actually be.

Doc Siward

The Axew babbled, and Siward read more from his tones than the tangled chains of words he was issuing. No, 'Dexter' would not be able to help him, not even for a tip. He pocketed the coin before the little dragon had finished. Fresher than I thought, then. Twitchy and fearful, and useless to me. The Axew fled, but not far, and not well. If he was trying to hide, he had distinctly failed.

Fortunately for Devin, he wasn't the only one to fail, and do so quickly.

Siward absorbed the scene from under his hat, as he did most things, and a scene it certainly was. The Scyther was loud, his vaguely more rational and certainly more intimidating Gabite companion- Mizu, they'd let slip- Not much better, for all his protests. They're hardly the cream of villainy, aren't they? Their folly soon attracted, predictable as a moth to a lantern, a particularly dashing Explorer, his mane swishing in the breeze and itching to be a hero, to do the kind of thing that always ended up being easy, public propaganda for the Guild.

But the Doc, too, knew bandits. Unless this pair was truly, unutterably stupid, then they wouldn't have come into Melburn without being able to compensate for their lack of planning with something more... Substantial. The shimmers of heat around Mizu's claws seemed proof of that.

The handsomely glittering Keldeo was contradicting himself about negotiating, trying to look for a compromise while pretending to hold his ground. Siward took the opportunity to calm his mind, nodding his head for a moment, blocking out distraction so that he could clarify his course of action.

If I idle, scrimmage shall ensue. Should scrimmage ensue, I must take the side of the Keldeo. Should I take the side of the Keldeo, word shall reach the employers of these knaves. Should word reach thus far... I may lose their trust. No, I must establish a compromise.

The Keldeo was finishing his speech. "...Be leaving in chains with Officer Magnezone, your pick." The Doc stepped forward at his side, easily resisting the temptation to compare who was fluffier. "I differ, for I don't believe you have a choice, Mizu. Nor shall a deal be struck here and now." That inclusion was vital. "You are not completely insensible, so you will take your freedom and companion and leave without that poor immigrant dragon. Isn't that right?" The Doc slowly puffed up his silky feathers as he spoke, bulging under his cloak, letting the smell of perturbed Fairy fill the air. If he denied them the ability to bargain further, they'd take what they had and leave before the Swordsman could apprehend them, or so he hoped.

The axew left pretty quickly after I sat down, but a togepi entered pretty soon after that. She approached me, but didn't say anything. I said "Uh, hi there, little togepi. I'm Trevor... I'm kinda new here... and this place already scares me..." I then looked around the place, and noticed an obvious fairy type who I didn't see earlier for some reason, though, thankfully, he left after the axew whose name I never really caught and he asked him about some sort of guild. The axew responded in a way I assumed I would and ran off, with the fairy type chasing after him very slowly, and casually. "If you don't mind, I'm going to see what's going on over there... the last thing I want is another dragon getting killed by fairies," I tried to make it sound like I was joking, and I flew off after the axew and the odd fairy type, trying to make sure I don't scream in fear just from being around the thing. My plan? Simple, use my wings to fly the heck away from that thing. Even if it was a bird...ish... thing... it didn't seem to have usable wings, so, I had an advantage so long as I could pick up the axew and possibly fly him to the top of a building or... something. I landed on a nearby rooftop and watched as a scene in an alleyway between the axew, that fairy type, a scyther, and a gabite unfolded. Somehow, for some unknown reason all of these pokemon, or at least, all of them who weren't the axew were afraid... of A PONY. I tried to hold in my laughter at the sheer strangeness of the fact that these criminals are afraid of a small HORSE of all things, but, eventually... I accidentally gave away my position by just bursting out in laughter after it seemed like the pony was winning. Of course, thanks to the fact that I was some sort of batlike pokemon, probably just about everyone in the vicinity heard it.

I was done for if that fairy had any sort of attacks that could reach me up here, but the thing didn't seem as hostile as the gabite and the scyther... then again, if there's anything I've learned from my past, it's that I should NEVER trust a fairy... even if they're actively helping me. I realized that nobody said anything about me even after my fit of laughter, so, thankfully, I didn't have to explain it, but... unfortunately, it seemed like my plan was going to fall flat, anyways, after all, the scyther seemed to have a pretty firm hold on the axew's neck with its blade arm, and the fairy was close enough to where he (at least, judging from the voice) could attack me before I could get out of there with the axew if he so chose... and he would, and it would be the end of me... except, in real life. Come on... there has to be a way out of this that ensures the survival of myself, and the axew. Some way to make sure I DON'T get attacked by that evil fairy... I think as I try and obviously fail to make it seem like I'm doing anything but still laughing at the fact that a tiny horse was scary enough to a dragon that he'd give up a hostage, or at even consider it. Sure, there was the fairy involved, but for all I knew, he COULD have been on the dragon's side, and was just stabbing him in the back, or taking some other option to this scenario. Heck, he could even be their BOSS telling them that they did a very poor job and now have to stop because someone found them before they could do anything... or I could just be madly guessing, and putting the fairy in a position of evil, and power just because I'm sort of biased against them due to my past experiences.

Mizu's eyes narrowed in anger as this Keldeo knocked away his claw. His pride as a Dragon type demanded that he destroy this impudent little brat, no matter the consequences! His common sense told him that was a terrible idea. Unfortunately, it was quite rare for something silly like common sense to stop a rampaging Dragon type. He pushed his face close to Kel and snorted. "You're going to regret that..."

Then the new guy stepped in and his pride took a backseat to fear. A fairy type was always bad news for a Dragon type like himself, no matter how strong they are. A fairy type made many a Dragon type quake in fear. Not that Mizu would ever admit that. He clicked his tounge in annoyance and grunted. "Come on idiot. Let go of the Axew and let's get out of this stupid town." Mizu smacked the Scyther on the back of the head and began walking out of the alley. But not before he stopped to lean towards Kel's face. "Next time, there won't be a fairy to save you." He then continued his walk out of the alley and turned to exit the town.

After walking for a while he stopped by a nearby boulder. A few minutes and a liberal amount of rage later, he sat down on a nearby stump. Minus one large boulder. Mizu was absolutely steaming, the next time he saw that stupid Keldeo he was going to tear him apart! He then began yelling at the sky in anger. "I'm going to tear him apart, and then I'm going to go tear that entire town apart! And then I'll take all their money! And then I'll... I'll... I'll do something else."

Celina was a bit surprised when the noibat went and talked to her. He said that he just arrived here and the place already was scaring him. Maybe he was one of the other that landed here like her. Maybe he was someone else that ended up transported in his dreams into this strange world. Her though process stopped when she fallowed and saw what was going on. The axew that was in the grasp of that scyther, as well as the gabite. She then looked into... a keldeo? A legendary here? Well that sure was strange to say the least. Maybe in this world they were more common.... or maybe she was just really lucky to see one of them. She looked then at the other fairy type that arrived. What the heck was going on here. She looked at the scyther... and looked confident a him before moving forwards.

"Can you please not hurt him... pleaaaasssseeee..." she then said, before using Charm on him. To say the least, this was not natural for her. She was not the type of person to go and do something like that or butt in a fight or something. She hoped that would have worked maybe. Maybe if she acted innocent and... well.... cute... people might stop fighting. That would surprise her, but maybe she could at least hit their consciousness with this. Like... make them less likely to attack hard on everyone. That could be a possibility. Although she was unsure how that would work out. She looked at the Keldeo. He seemed to have things handled here at least. She did know that legendary pokemons are usualy really strong, and he was probably not an exception here.

Then she though about that noibat. She would need to speak to him afterwards. Maybe see if he was a human like her before all this. Maybe get some information on what was going on and find others that were in the same situation. Maybe all together they could figure out exactly what they had to do and they could continue on and find why they were brought here. Although in her current form... she probably would need to train more so that she doesn't end up being defeated easily. But where to train and how to go with this is the question.

Kel watched as the duo scurried away. Dang, if only they had attacked he could have gotten two more criminals off the street. He'd never seen those two before, and decided to do some research later. First, there was the Axew, who was still in a bit of a state of shock. "You don't have to say anything, I was happy to help you out pal. I hate Pokemon like that, who think since they're big and tough they can pick on the small and weak. If you ever have any problems, just ask around for Kel."

Kel started walking out of the alley, when he saw the Aromatisse who had intervened. He had a few words for him. "I thank you for backing me up, but next time, let me handle it. Those were two criminals that could have gone behind bars, and I knew they would have attacked if it werent for you. Again, thanks for helping, but leave it to me next time." He didn't want to come off as rude, Kel just wanted to do what was right. By now those two would be well beyond the city so chasing would be pointless, so he headed for the Guild to check the outlaw notice boards. Maybe they might hold a clue to these two.

A few hours later, and he was still where he was when he started looking. There was nothing on any duo of a Scyther or Gabite, but there would be now. He'd talked it over with Officer Magnezone, and they put out an outlaw notice for the two. That wouldn't be enough to stop them, though, Kel knew so. What they'd wanted with that Axew was a mystery to him, he didn't have any kind of money, or anything of value. He thought back to the rumors of the Stargate he'd heard a while back, that several Pokemon had come through, those from the human world. He'd discounted these long ago, but maybe there was more to them...

Vanillish had finally returned from his break, and finally he could get that ice cream to calm his nerves. Something he heard there though didn't quite calm them as he'd hoped. A few traveling Pokemon were chatting nearby, and he heard something that perked his interest. "I heard that a green horse like Pokemon was seen near Treasure Town, it could have been Virizion from that old Swords of Justice team..."

Virizion, he hadn't heard that name for some time. He hadn't seen her in ages, ever since... No, he wouldn't even think about it right now. It was good to hear she was still around. He hadn't heard anything about Cobalion or Terrakion since the team split up... Damn it he thought about it, he just told himself he wouldn't... he needed a walk. He left his ice cream unfinished and headed out towards a nearby meadow where he went to clear his head.

The Scyther's bladed hand was pressed tightly on Devin's neck. He was starting to feel lightheaded, everything was starting to turn a bright white, and he then felt the rough, hard ground. Devin struggled, but managed to get up off the unesven ground. He had many scrapes and bruises, and a mark on his neck where the Scyther's hand had been.

Before he could speak a word, the Horse Pokemon that had apparently saved him, told him he didn't need to thank him. Devin wanted to thank him, but the least he could do for his savior was obey his simple request. He also noticed the fairy Pokemon that tried to get him to run an errand stand on the same side where the horse Pokemon had been. Devin didn't see much, as most everything around him was turning blurry. Even after he had r jetted his request, it seemed he came to save him.

Devin went over to talk to him but it seemed, 'Kel' had beat him to the Pokemon. Kel thanked him for helping, but assured him he could have done it himself. So the pink guy did help... Once Kel left, the small Axew approached the fairy type.

"I-I just wanted to th-thank you Sir. Even after I rejected your request you still helped m-me. Well, I have no money, candy nothing else to offer, so I was wondering if that errand was still available."

Doc Siward

True to their situation, both the Gabite and his Scyther companion quickly came to the decision to scuttle as a small voice among the spectators cried out to them for peace. The glittery Explorer addressed their victim, and Siward wondered what 'Dexter' and 'Mizu'- Both code names, for all he knew- Held between them. The Axew may have run from home, and may have startled in the street, because to some extent he was carrying dangerous baggage in his head, something that made him jump at shadows and fear retribution. Perhaps I was just watching a random mugging. ...No, no, of course not. Petty robbers don't stand their ground like that.

A small crowd had gathered, and their keenly tracking eyes rested too heavily on the remaining trio of Siward, the Explorer, and the one he was introducing himself to as Kel. Siward faced them made a small, abrupt gesture, as if throwing something in the air. "Disperse," the Doc instructed the onlookers, pointing his staff semi-randomly among them to a Noibat who seemed to be giggling and a Togepi he suspected was the one who had cried out. "A violent crime was attempted here, and I know for true that the target is easily startled, and does not appreciate undue attention. Let him recover."

Kel had finished with the tusked dragon and thanked Siward, not without some perfectly due words of police wisdom. The doctor accepted them graciously, tipping his hat slightly, commenting genially that it was all Kel's work, thanking him. Thinking. If you knew they would lash out and were capable of stopping them, why didn't you strike first and save the Axew some pain? Simple legality issues? Hmph.

Siward would have liked to entrust to Kel the same favour he would have asked of 'Dexter', for he knew the Explorer was much more likely to do it accurately and for free; Kel didn't give him the chance, already trotting Guildwards, something clearly on his mind. Haughty fellow, that one.

Fortunately, an even more promising scenario put itself forward to Siward. Kel might be gone, but the Axew had come back to where they'd started, now much more than just a frightened immigrant in the street. No money, no candy, eh... So it certainly wasn't a mugging. Whatever Mizu wanted from this child is something he brought with him, in his head. Knowledge that kills.

"No need to thank me, boy, just give me your name,"
Siward opened, conversationally. "But I still think we can help one another along. Listen quickly." He revealed a coin from his coat, silvery-white and shinier than the first. "The 'mon who just helped you, Kel, is an associate of the Exploration Guild, and is going there now. Follow him. Find a Guildsmon and ask if they have available lodging for me, for a time. They know my name. In fact," he twirled a trailing feather between his short, deft fingers, "You may want to consider staying there yourself. The Guild often accepts migrants as recruits, and there is food, money, and shelter available for Explorers like Kel. It's a safe place. Go now, and meet me at sundown in the library."

The Doc turned to go his way again. "You handled yourself bravely today, boy," he lied, as a parent to a child. "You may yet look back at your encounter with Kel as the start of a great career."

And, with a little luck, Devin would find himself close enough to be under Siward's curious eye until his mysteries at last came into the light of day.

The meadow was beautiful, the air fresh and clear, bright colors everywhere, it was certainly the kind of place one could forget all their worries. That is, except for Kel. Ever since he'd heard her name, the thoughts kept rolling through his head. He couldn't silence them, not for a while at least. He'd hoped coming to this serene setting could help take his mind off things, but it wasn't. He headed over to a nearby water pool, dunked his head in, and pulled it out of the fresh spring water. That helped a little. At least he was alone, he never spoke to anyone about what happened that night...

Great, now he'd started thinking about it again! Every time he gets those thoughts out of his head there they are again. Many Pokemon can easily put their pasts behind them, but not Kel. "Why'd we have to do it? Why'd we have to break up like that? I'll still never know what really happened between all of us, maybe it was me, maybe it was just the fact that we needed some time apart..." He talked about his old team, the Swords of Justice. Together they were one of the greatest teams of their time, until something caused them to disband and go their separate ways, something Kel doesn't even know, or knows and doesn't want to remember...

He proceeded to pace back and forth around the pool of water, until he'd finally gotten his head somewhat clearer. That's when he noticed the lateness of the hour. It was nearly noon, he'd been out here since early this morning he'd guessed. He chuckled, he hadn't even had time to relax after he came back from the Staraptor mission. He pulled himself together, and headed back towards town. He took one look back to the calming meadow behind him, and continued back to town.

When he arrived back to his home, a little one person cottage on the edge of town, he settled in for a nap, for he had walked almost the entire night getting back here. But then he noticed something, it looked like a note on the table. It didn't have any words on it, but it did have a single hoof mark, left in green ink. "It... It couldn't really be, could it? She was sighted over by Treasure Town, and that's a good ways away from here..." He studied the footprint carefully, if this was a forgery, it was a pretty dang good one. No, it had to be genuine, Virizion had been here! He proceeded to cautiously stroll around town a bit, looking for any sign of his old friend. No one had seen anything out of the ordinary, especially not a large green horse Pokemon.

He returned home and went into deep thought. Why would she leave this, why would she come here? They hadn't talked since that night... He yawned, and would ponder it more later. For now, he blew out the candles in his room and went to bed, completely exhausted from that night's trip and the events this morning. So many things were beginning to happen, very odd things. First that Scyther and Gabite twosome trying to kidnap that Axew, now this apparent note from Virizion. What could it all mean...

Belgond.

Today was the day!

All of his life, Belgond had waited with baited breath until he was old enough to join the Exporation Guild and today was the birthday that he would finally be able to sign up!

Mum was sadly unable to be there to celebrate the occasion; Her snake of an agent Mr Soal (Mum didn't like it when Belgond called Mr Soal a snake... Even if he was an Arbok) had insisted that she needed to be at an important meeting to help establish her singing career. She would be coming home later tonight hopefully.

Before he could go sign up through, Dad had insisted on taking his son out for a good, healthy lunch before his son became an Explorer like his old man. As the two of them crossed the threshold to Mr Fruille's store, Belgond's father had decided to be an Umbreon for the occasion.

"Why don't you go and see if you can find your cute little girlfriend Gale while I order us some lunch and catch up with my old teammate?" Draco asked with a sly, playful smile... Which grew in a wider smirk as Belgond almost turned as red as a Flareon.

"Dad, she's -not- my girlfriend.." Belgond stressed, trying very hard to not look in his father's direction. A mistake, since he missed Draco's smirk of victory.

"So you just think she is cute then?"

Belgond proved that he could do a very good impression of the sun; He was bright red with steam coming out of his ears. He would have been stuttering if his dad hadn't placed a paw on his back. "I'm just teasing. Still, why don't you go and invite Gale to join us? It's felt like forever since I last saw her and I know my old teammate would like the chance brag about her to me."

With a sigh, Belgond nodded his head silently before he went off in order to track down the master thief Gale and offer her a temporary trace at the behest of the higher powers.

Oh no... the fairy noticed me... I thought as the fairy-type of the group decided to point his cane at me. I tried to hide as best as I could, but the roof didn't really have anywhere that I could hide on it, not even so much as a chimney I could hide behind. I shuddered, and decided to finally shut up thanks to a fear of my life. The togepi seemed to also follow, and, once I was absolutely sure that the fairy was gone, which left the axew, and the togepi, I flew down, looked around, and said "Uh... m-my name's Trevor... I kinda... don't come from here. Yeah let's leave it at that..." I then added "It's... kinda funny... I was originally going to try to fly you out of danger, b-but... well... HE came, and, um... also, the horse pokemon kinda broke everything up," I specifically said this to the axew, and, after finally landing on the cold stones that constituted a street in this strange land, I turned to the togepi, and said "Sorry I kinda left, back there... I... I was trying to help a fellow dragon type out of a dangerous situation... those fairies... w-we dragons have to be careful around them," obviously, I was referring to myself and the axew in the 'we' in that scenario. I then realized that I never got either of these two's names. "So... what are your names? I kinda introduced myself, but... well... I don't think I ever caught your names... heh," I was obviously still nervous, as that fairy could still come back at any time, and he could still attack... and maybe even hit all of us at once if he needed to. That might even spell disaster for the normal-type togepi on our team, as, even if it's not super-effective, that fairy seemed... strong, or at least old. Well, older than us.

"WAKE UP!"

The immature, obstinate pokemon stirred; beginning to rouse herself out of her sleep, the bongs of cast iron pots being repeatedly smacked together and her father's galling bellows striking her eardrums. He could hear him pacing about her bed, thumping the two items together over and over, booming over clangs and clatters while shouting at her to wake up. Takeo Feuille had waken his daughter up like that for the last two years. He'd take the time to carefully and delicately sneak up the stairs, ensuring his massive footsteps were soft, tip-toe his way down the creaky wooden paneled floor, gently open the door to her room, and unleash the crescendo of his pot symphony. The girl covered her ears with her pillows, trying to drone out the incessant howling of his shouting and pans. It wasn't long before, finally quitting, she'd thunder off, throwing the pillows down in frustration as her father followed, belly laughing profoundly.

The two would begin breakfast in the small, cramped kitchen, her father practically hunching over in order to avoid smacking his head against the crumbly ceiling. "You didn't have to wake me up this early," Gale murmured in a small, tired voice, in sharp contrast to her father's deep, booming, and imposing one. The early morning haze still fogged her mind, causing her to forget that she was supposed to be the big, tough outlaw. "I really need some more sleep, dad.." Her dad leaned in, staring at her inquisitively, an eyebrow raised. "You're in a surprisingly good mood, Gale!" Her father exclaimed, still chewing through his steaming bowl of noodles. "You're usually still sour about the wake up call!" The pokemon would blink twice, her eyes growing lucid and mouth losing the confused, sleepy smile, realizing just who she was supposed to be. "I-I can't believe you woke me up this early, f-fartface!" The pokemon said, catching herself. "I'm too old for that kind of junk! not too old for a bedtime story, though.."

Her father smiled. "Okay, that's a little more along the lines of my daughter." The Pangoro laughed, slurping the last of the spicy soup remaining. "Well, you better come down to the shop now - you've slept through most of this morning - again." The massive pokemon would slide over his small stool, turning around to head down the stairs where there was the usual kind of morning buzz - laughter, discussion, and threats - while his daughter followed, bored out of her mind. "Ugh, dad, do I really have to help today? I have lots of stuff to do." By lots of stuff to do, she meant hanging around on her boulder and pretending she was a cool outlaw. "Of course! You've skipped out on the last few weeks, I'm sure you can do just one day, now." Her father declared. "Today's gonna be a busy day!" The Pangoro got to work, boiling pots of water, steaming noodles, and mashing sauce together with surprising finesse for someone so large.

"Order up!" The head chef and main employee would shout, placing a bowl of steaming soup on the counter. His daughter would pick it up, muttering angrily to herself about stupid adventurers, and would serve it to two nearby adventurers freshly home from a mission. She'd look out the window, the morning sun shining through, to see two figures approaching the shop - she recognized one of them, surprisingly - an Eevee, the daughter of a retired explorer that was a teammate of dad's, that she used to hang out with when she was younger. He was a bit of a dork, with his wanderlust and charitable spirit, rambling on about his desire to be an adventurer. He kind of reminded him of her when she was younger, looking up to the adventurers and wanting to be a part of them one day. Maybe he'd one day get that idea drilled out of him, but for now, he still looked to be the cheerful little fox that she played with a time ago. The other one she assumed to be his dad.

"DAD! Your stupid adventurer friend is here!" Gale yelled, watching as the pair approached. "You'd better come over here and say hello!" Her dad would immediately perk up, finding that a remnant of his past had wandered by. "Wait, Draco's here?!" The Pangoro would immediately drop his pan, leaving the sizzling food behind, and rush over to the door, his white headband billowing behind him. He squinted, staring at the Umbreon close by for a short while. "That's definitely Draco - could recognize that stench of his anywhere!" Her father opened up his arms for a bear hug. "Gale, bring the two inside and talk to Belgond." Takeo said, pushing her forward to the two. "It'll be just like when you hung out with him before!"

"Dad, I don't talk with people, I'm an outlaw - oh, hey Belgond." She mumbled, her eyes downcast and her voice meek again, a far cry from the villainess she painted herself as.. it'd been quite a while since they'd actually talked. "So.. you a geeky adventurer yet..?"
