Current I think watching fight scenes can help in general terms with writing combat, since it can give you an idea of flow and choreography.

At least if you're writing something you know, with knights.

I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

Get well soon, @Heartfillia!

I'll try and respond soon, I imagine it won't get very involved.
Interest.
"Iron Roses! To arms!" cried Fanilly. Even if some were already moving, she had to let everyone know. She had to!

Positioning her body over the stunned princess, the blonde girl gave a swift nod to Sir Gillian to affirm her own wellbeing before her eyes turned towards the princess. In the commotion, she'd had to act as swiftly as she could, and so it wasn't possible to try and ensure that Eliabelle landed without coming to any harm.

The Princess, trembling for a few moments under the Captain, managed to nod weakly.

All around them, the Crown Knights had immediately stepped forward and brought out their weapons in a rattling of steel. Fanilly didn't understand how it was possible for the assassin to get in here without anyone seeing her, nor how she could have possibly escaped if she had performed her assassination effectively.

They'd have to find out from interrogation!

Gerard's assessment of his advantages against the diminutive killer was correct. Even as she swiftly shed her cloak in an attempt to obscure her escape, she just couldn't escape his reach swiftly enough and found her small frame pinned under his much larger one. Her destroyed pistol crossbow was useless, as well...

Her arm being pulled up and twisted swiftly disarmed her of the knife she had drawn in that instant, though any slower would likely have found it buried somewhere vulnerable.

Perhaps the strangest thing was the fact that the nem made not a single noise when this happened, even if there was pain clear on her face. With her cloak removed, it was clear she was a fairly young nem, her large red eyes wincing, her teeth gritted, anger and pain clear on her soft features.

And yet still not a single noise came from her.

I'll probably get a post up tomorrow.
Saber - Benienma

A blast of magical energy flashed by her.

A hand was sliced into two pieces.

Kiara was drifting back, drawing away further and further... But Benienma couldn't allow her to escape! She couldn't stop! The moment she paused, the moment that Kiara got too much room, there was no telling what would happen!

A hand bigger than her entire body erupted from the earth beneath her, lifting her into the path of a stream of bullets of mana and threatening to close on the small Saber! But she sprang off of it, leaping over the blast of magical energy and over the evil Kiara! A beast... She couldn't allow a beast to be born here!

Benienma hurtled downwards, even as hands rushed towards her from below. One reached towards her, and she swung her katana forward, striking it at the palm and descending, cleaving cleaning through it down its arm! Another hand rushed towards her, but she ran down across the arm, cutting as she went! Blood and severed fingers and cut flesh fell through the air, as the redheaded enma sliced a path of destruction through the assaulting arms!

Two huge hands rose on either side of her, rocketing towards her, intending to crush her between their palms! Even with her speed, it was difficult to react, and she heard a sound like a thunderclap as they came close around her...!

For a moment, it looked as if she had been crushed between them. But in an instant, Benienma's sword erupted through their flesh, slashing dozens of times in an instant and cutting them apart!

She had felt the impact. It had rocked her body, she'd felt those huge hands nearly crush her. She'd barely had enough room to move, she was covered in blood... but... she was almost there!

She was so close!

The dark Kiara, the sinner, the Evil of Humanity, she was so close...!

Saber - Arturia Pendragon

Saber winced at the idea of placing her Master down. Surely, she was at least safer on the move like this, at least she could perhaps be taken out of the sight of the faceless abomination. However... the strange figure, which was now growing to an enormous size, was entirely composed of magical energy. She could sense it, it wasn't something completely unlike those shadow Servants they'd faced before. For that matter, it wasn't that distant from the bodies most Servants manifested in. Flesh, bone, blood, all composed of magical energy... but this thing didn't bleed, nor did injury seem to affect it.

"I..."

She hesitated for a moment, before reluctantly placing her Master down. She could fight alongside Sir Lancelot like this, but...

"If it pays you any notice, move immediately, Master!"

Placing one foot forward, the King of Knights angled the tip of Excalibur upwards. Light danced along the edge of the weapon as she pointed it squarely towards the massive, faceless figure's right shoulder. Certainly, even if it was not harmed permanently by injury, this would disrupt it...!

"Strike... Aiiiiir!"

An explosion of magical energy was released from around her sword, and in a flash a brilliant beam of mana erupted from the blade and tore towards her target...!

@PKMNB0Y@Raineh Daze
"Hmmm..."

After several moments of attempting to make a decision, ultimately Sophie had come to a conclusion. While the disappearances near Haesting were certainly important, that left her certain someone with half a brain and sufficient skill would pick it up. And naturally, clearing orcs out was undeniably important as well. So her ultimate decision to go and hunt down those monstrous cannibalistic barbarians and kill them before they could kill anyone else.

Taking the flyer in one hand, she turned and marched her way over to the counter, placing it in front of one of the girls.

"I'm going to register for the orc-hunting job," she said, simply. She had no interest in dragging things out, she was simply going to take it and then meet whoever else might be going for the job.

Hopefully they weren't idiots.

Okay, I'm going to post here and force myself to make a decision some time in the next few days.

It's my own RP it shouldn't be this hard. D:
@HereComesTheSnow: Yes, sorry, it was in not having specifics. ^^; I can edit if it needs to be clearer.
"Excuse me?!" snapped the small, gray-haired girl, narrowing her eyes, "What is that supposed to mean, exactly?!"

While the girl was certainly irritated, the knight didn't say a single thing. They stood stock still, like a statue, the shove to their shoulder not causing them to budge even a single centimeter. The only sign the armored figure was even a living being was the slight shift of those barely-visible eyes.

The gray-haired girl folded her arms across her chest.

"I am Lady Veileena Cal," she introduced herself, "And you are a drunkard I haven't the time for. I will have Haelstadt find somewhere far more suitable for the likes of you if this harassment continues."

Veileena Cal, the daughter of Phoran Cal, the sole living direct heir to the Cal name. She had refused to bury her father's remains in the family tomb, instead choosing to have his corpse dumped in an unmarked grave in the wilderness, and this was hardly an unknown fact.

That probably said everything, really.

"... Ah, um, very well, Sir Gerard," Fanilly said, scratching the back of her head lightly as she did. To be honest, she wasn't sure she was the best when it came to gleaning how to behave at a ball. Honestly, whenever she was at one when she was younger, she tended only to talk to a small amount of people and was usually rather quiet. It wasn't that she didn't like parties, she just always felt a bit overwhelmed by them. Still, she was doing her best.

"Not at all, I'd love the chance to speak with more of the knights!" declared the Princess, brightly, smiling towards Sir Gerard as she did.

Things seemed to be going well, for now, but...

Fanilly knew something was going on. Even if none of the knights had yet told her...

"Watch to your right."

It was a little girl's voice, in her right ear. Fanilly immediately turned, wide-eyed. Who said that? Where-

Somehow, a tiny female figure seemed to materialize from the crowds. Small, perhaps a little over a meter in height, with a hood. Fanilly thought she caught a glimpse of pale skin and crimson eyes between scarf and hood, but more importantly...!

The figure raised a pistol crossbow, took aim and-

Fanilly grabbed the princess and immediately yanked her down, as the bolt sailed over both of their heads and embedded itself in the distant wall! Before she could rise and try and give orders to her knights, the assassin had already adjusted her aim, squarely at the downed, surprised princess and preparing to loose another shot...!

@pandapolio: That would be fine.
