Current I think watching fight scenes can help in general terms with writing combat, since it can give you an idea of flow and choreography.
At least if you're writing something you know, with knights.
I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

Saber - Benienma

Indeed, it seemed as if a moment of simply discussing food had managed to fully clear Benienma's head. She certainly still felt the influence of both Kaguya-hime's charm skill and the cowrie shell, but it was no longer making her quite so awkward when she spoke and she had acclimated to the Moon Princess's presence rather effectively.

And she was no longer by her Master's side... That had to be rectified, but it would be rude to simply walk away from the other Servant.

"Kaguya-hime, you can assist in testing their fare to see if they have improved their cooking skill if you want dechi," declared the redheaded enma, quite seriously. It was food, after all, and while cooking was to be enjoyed it was also to be taken seriously. It seemed like a fair enough offer, certainly, and it meant she would not simply be walking away abruptly. Benienma turned, heading into Burger Wham, and-

Suzuka-Gozen. One of her students. On one hand, Benienma was always happy to see those who had studied under her. Even the most hopeless of their number.

Even the ones who had cooking capabilities that could be called despair.

Still, that did not mean that she was unhappy to see Suzuka. However...

She had hear enough, and saw the look on the girl beside Suzuka's face. This would not do.

"Chirp chirp, what's this?" she said, a frown on her face as she approached, "Are you making your Master uncomfortable, Suzuka-Gozen?"

Mihama Nanako

Nanako was almost surprised at herself over just how quickly she managed to finish off her crepe. Sure, she hadn't eaten all that much for a while now, but that didn't mean she'd expected herself to finish it quite that quickly. Normally something with so many relatively heavy ingredients like melted cheese would take her longer to finish off. Really, she had a feeling if she'd had a second one she probably would have finished that off too...

... But that was a bad idea for a variety of reasons.

"I'm all done, yeah," she replied with a nod, turning to face Meltryllis. As she did, she noticed that some of the cream from the crepe had found itself onto the Alter Ego's face. It wasn't exactly a surprise... not when the crepe had so much cream on it and Meltryllis could only do so much with her hands. And because of that... well... Nanako couldn't just leave it there, could she? Certainly, the petite blue-haired girl didn't like being helped, but in this case there wasn't very much she could do about it on her own...

Taking an unused napkin, the brunette reached out and used it to wipe the cream from Meltryllis's face. Besides... getting to do this for the Alter Ego that refused to ask for help and had been trying to keep as much distance as she could felt nice.

"Sorry, there was just some cream on your cheek," she explained, scratching the back of her head after she balled up the napkin, "I couldn't just leave it."

After disposing of the trash, Nanako considered what they could do next.

"Um... we could stop by the shopping district? I know you're probably not thrilled with me wandering around, but I've been cooped up inside for a while already, so..."

Saber - Arturia Pendragon

For a few moments, Arturia had to confess she had become quite confused. Why was her Master suddenly so distressed? There was no need for such concern. Had she made a mistake somehow? The blonde considered the matter. She had wanted to reassure her Master, to let hew know that any high-quality food would satisfy her. And yet she had become panicked, and listed off a number of different recipes all involving rice... perhaps because rice was so easily obtainable in this city? That seemed quite likely. It was absolutely fine in her opinion, much of the first good food she had ever eaten involved rice as a primary ingredient.

As a result, there was absolutely no reason to panic.

The blonde Saber-class Servant placed one hand to her chest, smiling pleasantly.

"Any one of those dishes would be lovely, Master," she began, "I am certain I will enjoy anything that you prepare."

Saber -Benienma

"Ah..."

Benienma's red hair was quite soft and silky, but the tiny Servant was struggling for a few moments to gather her thoughts after being patted like that. The charm effect that Kaguya-hime's mere presence instilled was effectively doubled simply due to a combination of the beauty skill she doubtlessly possessed and the effect of the Swallow's Cowry Shell. Benienma's magic resistance certainly allowed her to escape being entranced, but the effects were still pronounced enough to make it somewhat difficult for the enma.

Still, she would maintain a level head and brush it off!

Taking a deep breath, Benienma cleared her mind once more. When it came to a question of food, there was no doubts in her mind!

"Benienma has previously sampled this establishment's fare dechi," she began, folding her arms lightly across her chest, "While there are some pleasant notes, mostly that they seem to have access to very fresh beef, the burgers themselves were preprepared and the cooking practiced here resulted in an overly-greasy patty that felt far heavier to eat then it otherwise should have, and the cheese was unevenly melted dechi."

She glanced back towards the restaurant, a smile returning to her face.

"However, Benienma gave them a thorough lecture and demonstrated how they can improve dechi! Hopefully, they've taken my advice dechi!"

Yuriko T. Louvyngyr

Without missing a beat even in spite of her concern for her Servant's whereabouts, Yuriko responded.

"Of course, beautiful fabric is the only choice for a beautiful girl," she said, a smile back on her lips as she regarded the girl. Ah, she really was beautiful... and the fact that she made all her own clothing only made that outfit more impressive. Certainly, she seemed rather stern, but that didn't mean her efforts were guaranteed to fail. "Especially when she's so versed in making beautiful clothing. I'm really impressed, I've never gotten the hang of tailoring myself."

She paused for a moment. Flipping between her concern for Jack and her attraction to this girl was a little jarring, but the fact remained that the former was definitely more important... even if she wasn't going to give up on the latter unless given no choice.

"Er, as for my Servant... yes, she's quite young."

Yuriko illustrated by gesturing to indicate Jack's height at her side.

"Normally she's pretty attached, but I think she's probably looking for the outfit I said she could pick out."

Mihama Nanako

Sitting down next to Meltryllis, Nanako was suddenly struck with an admiration for how easy a rolled crepe was to eat. She reflected briefly on the fact that a human being rarely appreciated such things until they were deprived of one of their physical abilities. Unable to use one arm, she could still eat a crepe just fine. It was something she'd acknowledged before ordering, but at the same time she was now truly appreciative of this fact.

... And though she didn't say it...

It looked like Meltryllis was appreciative of the fact a crepe was pretty easy to eat, too.

"I'm glad you like it," Nanako commented, smiling as she did. Sure, 'acceptable' wasn't the most stunning bit of praise, but it was pretty obvious that Meltryllis was enjoying her crepe.

She took a bite of her own. The chicken, tomato, and cheese combo, along with the other ingredients, had a sort of Italian feel to them. It was definitely good, especially after how little she'd eaten over the past few days.

"You know, if I could get away with it, I'd eat stuff like that all the time," added the brunette, as she glanced over towards the purple-haired girl. Once again she was struck by just how stunningly beautiful the Alter Ego was. The way she had brushed her hair back like that and everything... and her soft, cute features coupled with the sharpness of her eyes was cute... and... and hopefully her looking like this didn't look too weird. It didn't, right? And it wasn't weird for her to look in the first place, right? Even though they were both girls! Right?!

Nanako took a deep breath and another bite of her crepe.

"But that'd be a pretty bad idea!"

@PKMNB0Y
Okay, this should open things up for everyone. Split yourselves up as you want: Lots of fighting in the mausoleum raid, conversation and interaction in the Princess Guard crew.

It might be a bit rushed but hopefully it works out.
Everything made much more sense, and was much more horrible now. Such a desperate assassination attempt, even if she hadn't been detected... no wonder she'd gone to such lengths. But that also meant she likely felt animosity towards those who were holding her sister hostage. It meant that they could save her sister.

Fanilly took a deep breath.

"Dame Tyaethe is right," she began, "If this is to be successful, no-one must leave this party."

There was some commotion among the guests at this declaration. It seemed as if at least a few among the nobility didn't like this idea. One of their number, the first voice to speak up, was Lord Velbrance.

"Is that truly appropriate, oh Knight-Captain?" he began, stepping forward, "Surely, there's no way you can expect everyone to wait here until you find the perpetrators. Besides, how can you be certain the little assassin is truthful?"

He shrugged.

Fanilly winced. Could they really simply hold everyone here? Was it right to simply make such demands? But if they didn't...

"I don't think you can expect everyo-"

"Silence, Velbrance!" a voice bellowed over the crowds. It was an older man, and with the clank of armor the tall form of Adeforth Balsung, the seventy-year-old captain of the Crown Knights, strode forward. Face lined with age and boasting a large white mustache, his armor still gleamed as if it was brand new. "Or do you seek to place the Princess's life in further danger? Mayon's Ice, did you father ever drill some sense into that skull of yours?"

"Hmph, I'm merely-"

"Merely trying to be the center of attention? Merely trying to make the duties of the knights sworn to the crown more difficult? Hold your tongue, you blasted fool."

"... You shall hear of this later, old man," spoke a seething Velbrance, glaring towards the aged knight.

"... As I was saying," Fanilly began again, "If word leaves this castle, not only is it likely another attempt shall be made on the Princess's life, but the perpetrators of this vile scheme will kill this nem's sister. Not a single person must leave this party until we are certain both the hostage has been freed and the Princess is no longer in immediate danger."

The nem assassin was wide-eyed with confusion. It was rather clear, even if she couldn't speak, that she hadn't expected this at all.

Fanilly wasn't sure if it was right to place their trust in the assassin, but at the same time she doubted that they had any other options.

"... As Dame Martiza said, we need to know all we can about the ones who took your sister," she said as she turned towards the nem, "What can you tell us?"

Almost immediately the nem was writing, even as her tiny body trembling, tears in her eyes.

'THEY'RE IN THE CAL MAUSOLEUM. SIX OF THEM AND THEIR MERCENARIES. ONE NECROMANCER'

That was all they needed.

"... I will divide the knights' numbers. Some of you must remain here to help guard the princess," Fanilly said, straightening, "If you must, gather weapons from the Castle's Armory. With your permission, Sir Adeforth?"

"Aye, my permission indeed," the old knight nodded, "Anyone who would threaten her Royal Highness must face steel."

Fanilly nodded, turning back to the assassin.

"... Can... can you guide us? If they have any traps in place..."

The nem nodded.

Fanilly took a deep breath. She didn't know if this was right, but...

"Let's go, Iron Roses!"

As the Roses mobilized, Princess Eliabelle nodded weakly.

"Y-yes, er, as Sir Adeforth said..." she trailed off, "Er..."

The silvery-haired young girl huffed, her knight still an ever-present, silent figure.

"I am Lady Veileena Cal, as your compatriot noted," she began. With that in mind, it would likely become more clear who the dark knight was. It was said that the remaining daughter of Phoran Cal was never without a black knight, after all, "And this is Haelstadt."

Haelstadt didn't say a word.

"I understand your concerns, Sir Knight," she continued, glancing toward Fleuri as she did, "But that is all the more reason to offer my assistance. That traitor who once called himself my father shall not hold any sway over my decisions, thank you very much. I offer my assistance in safeguarding the Princess. As long as I live, Haelstadt will never waver, let alone fall."

The Iron Roses had to move, and they had to move quickly. The graveyard was, thankfully, not too far away, even if it was a rather haunting sight to behold in Fanilly's opinion. The elaborate gravestones, some depicting Mayon reaching down towards the grave of the dead, a few similarly constructed, but with Reon instead. Others showed family symbols, or conveyed what the dead interred there had done in life. Some were simple, wishing the deceased a good afterlife.

And then there were the mausoleums. They stood larger then the other graves, and what was visible was only a small component. They stretched underground as well, holding generations of dead. Fanilly admitted, privately, that she found being in a graveyard at night rather disconcerting, but... she couldn't show such a thing.

The Cal Family's tomb was rather easily-recognized. Atop it was the eight-pointed star that symbolized the Cal family. As Fanilly knew, each point symbolized something, but she had never learned what. They had refused to allow Phoran Cal to be interred there, and had stripped him posthumously of his status as a member of their family. He was so hated that his surviving daughter had refused to call him by anything other than 'traitor'.

His tomb looked unguarded... from the outside. But gods knew what was going on down there.

Fanilly turned back to the others.

"Once we're inside, Vosahnn will lead the way," she said, nodding her head towards the Nem assassin. Her name, as she had written while they were preparing, was Tili Vosahnn. "We'll take out as many of them as we can on the way to the bottom floor. Once we're there, we'll need to act quickly in order to ensure her sister's safety, and slay the necromancer before he can act."

It was around that moment that the door to the Cal Mausoleum slowly creaked open... and a guard stepped out.

He'd need to be silenced quickly. They wanted to get inside before there was an alarm.

Saber - Benienma

Benienma paused for a moment. The revelation of the cowry shell, on top of the Servant's words, swiftly brought everything into clarity now. Oh, certainly it was difficult not to at least eye Kaguya-hime and the shell a little, but with the explanation of what was occurring now rather clear to the diminutive enma. It was one of Kaguya-hime's impossible requests, and it had a fascination-type effect towards those who were birds or possessed bird attributes. Needless to say, Benienma certainly possessed the latter no matter her origins.

Her attendant, on the other hand, was not at all brought out of the almost trance-like state. Ad her Master had rather abruptly fled inside to get food... ah, this was growing a bit... messy.

But Benienma could handle messy situations! Taking a deep breath, the diminutive redhead gathered her thoughts.

"That cowry shell, and... and your looks," she hesitated for a moment on the second note, still quite effected by the shell even if she was dealing with it far more effectively now, "You must be the Moon Princess, Kaguya-hime. I am the Tongue-Cut Sparrow, Benienma."

Mihama Nanako

"Meltyrllis-san has pretty good taste," Nanako commented, smiling as she cocked her head to the side. She wasn't sure if it was the right thing to do, but trying to speak normally with her Servant, interact with her like anyone else... it seemed right to her. Meltryllis clearly didn't want to be coddled because of her disabilities. And at the same time, she also seemed like she was reluctant to have anything but distance between herself and her Master. The best way to close that distance, to make up for pitying her before, then, was to treat her normally, wasn't it?

Besides, everyone deserved to be treated like a fellow human being, even if they weren't human and were extremely irregular even for a Servant. This was just how things were, in Nanako's mind. Even after everything, knowing Melt had wanted to keep her safe made it clear to her.

And of course that crepe did sound pretty good.

The line wasn't too long, but there was a bit of a wait. And as they waited, Nanako's mind wandered again, her eyes drifting briefly towards her Servant.

With everything that had happened since summoning Meltryllis, she hadn't thought about it as much but... Her Servant... was really pretty, wasn't she? That pale, doll-like skin, that slender, elegant body, and her hair... with the current prosthetic legs she was wearing it would have been dragging on the ground if not for the way it curled up and the end. If she ever got the opportunity to wash Meltryllis's hair...

... Aah, jeez, what was she thinking about now?! Nanako hadn't ever really thought about anything like that before.

And they were at the front of the line now. The young man behind the counter was asking her what she wanted.

"Ah, er, the Bon Appletreat," she said, quickly, "And the Chicken and Tomato Cheese Crepe?"

The latter sounded like it would be good for a meal...

Soon enough, both crepes had been completed. Thankfully, with the way it was wrapped it was easy to carry it with one arm, and there was an empty space to sit down not too far away.

Yuriko T. Louvyngyr

Before Yuriko could accompany Jack to check out the clothes the white-haired little girl wanted(and hopefully get the girl behind the counter's number) another rather lovely young lady(who had been staring at her a bit but getting stares wasn't always a bad thing at all) approached. She seemed to be in her teens, accompanied by a prettyboy in clothing that indicated he was almost certainly the girl's Servant.

Excellent.

"My suits are tailored by the lovely folk at C'est Magnifique," she responded, not batting an eye at the slightly stern way the girl spoke. It wasn't as if being a people-person was intrinsic to magi, after all. Besides, she was happy to share details about where she got her clothing. Especially with pretty girls.

"They have a boutique here in Fusang, if you're interested," Yuriko continued, "After all, you're looking rather fashionable yourself."

It was true, and served as a perfect start in the enforcer's opinion. Compliments tended to work rather effectively after all.

... Ah... Jack...

She paused for a moment. The flirting had to be put on hold.

"Jack, stay in the store!" she called, glancing back towards the girl as she did, "My Servant, I'm here to buy her some clothing."

Ahh, this interrupted her game a little, didn't it? But letting Jack wander off wasn't a good idea, even if she could use a command seal to call her back.

@Rune_Alchemist@Crusader Lord@Raineh Daze
In that case I'll get something up soon.
Mihama Nanako

There was only one problem with this area of the shopping district. The simple fact that there were so many different places to potentially pick up street food, from a full-blown meal to a light snack, made it incredibly difficult to actually make a decision. Nanako was consistently a little overwhelmed by the fact there were so many different foods from so many different places all being sold from a variety of different stands.

It wasn't the first time Nanako had this problem, and it likely wouldn't be the last.

As she tried to make her decision, Meltryllis asked her if she'd spotted anything that looked particularly appealing. The brunette turned to face the Alter Ego after a brief pause.

"Not yet, there's so many options it's a little difficult to-" she stopped, noticing the fact that the petite purple-haired girl's eyes seemed to be lingering on a crepe stand for considerably longer then they had anywhere else.

"..."

A savory crepe wouldn't be bad at all, really. And it cut her agonizing decision-making process down quite a bit. Without another word, Nanako proceeded over to the line in front of the crepe stand, taking her spot there.

"What kind did you want, Meltryllis-san?" she asked, looking back over her shoulder at her Servant as she spoke. Even without anything else that had happened, it was only natural to make the offer.
