7.) It's a fantasy world; you can learn Magic - two new spells of any School per City Event/Story Arc, more if you find a willing mentor and time. New Exceptional Skills, on the other hand, are easier to stack, harder to learn - You can double the power of two Exceptional Skills every first arc, and select a new exceptional skill every second arc. Venedig will have Eight Arcs, so you get to stack two skills on the first, add one skill on the second, stack again on the third, and so on.

Ashton wasn't blind. Considering the power of the Wirches, it could be that he or Gris or both have been decived. And he wasn't afraid to say such, "Oh, come on! Either those people I killed were Cultists, or Innocents I've been deluded into thinking are Cultists through magic. Either way, I've had enough of being blamed for murdering people I've been manipulated into killing! Sandra Fotos, or should I say, Artificial Witch, In the Name of Od Laguna, I will punish you!"

A glance back at Belrigger as he said, "Didn't I promise you a fight? Don't be one of those people who believe I really am killing innocents now!"

And with that, he charged at Sandra, zig-zagging to her left, right, then left before attempting to flash-step behind her and stab her with her daggers, confident that at the very least, Belrigger would not let go of his word, that he would help Ashton with this Monster.

The Ship

Pablo blinked at Ein and said, "Wow, you're more devious than I expected - I like it! Well, I like the intelliigence, not so much the 'watch the torture' bit. But I'm pragmatic enough to see the necessity of it."

Eliza then added, "If Pablo's staying back, then I'll be with him as well - I can't afford to abandon him even if it means one less person to defend you three." A smile, "And I'm glad you three are considerate of Pablo's security, even when Pablo himself isn't thinking of it."

She darted a glance at her charge, who was clearly distracted with Ein's good looks. "That said... What if they are not torturing someone right now? I mean, we are still in transit. Once we have an answer to this question, though, let's go - We're wasting time."

Pablo would then reveal the location of the CIA Agents' chambers - It was in a large room located just above the ship's boiler. This room was not marked by any label, but can still be seen on the ship map and blueprints. And of course, it was clearly large enough to hold torture equipment. However, this begged the question, how will Shion, Andre, and Ein manage to sneak inside said room and foil the CIA Agents' plans? After all, his power to reveal the truth did not mean that he can magically find a plan of action...

She was smiling faintly now as she waited for Robert to add what he knew, but would pass him by if he was silent. As it turned out, Robert was more interested in Ishaq's power than he was in continuing the briefing. That was all right, she guessed. It was time for her to announce the timeline of the Operation. "We'll make anchor in three or three hours. The actual landing will begin in another three."

A pause, and she continued, "The Marines and the SAS squad are all waiting on the top deck, expecting your arrival. As of now, it is time to move out. Briefing over."

City Event - Mostly for the Main Party

Mergoux, Kaspar, and the Edelwiesses

Kaspar rolled his eyes as it seemed Mergoux didn't get it, that it was him who was messaging her telepathically. He then said, <If you want to disrupt the auction, you are free to do so. But I have another idea - A gang of hired mercenaries are going to attack that fifteen-year old Mage Girl or anyone else who is buying the redhead and blonde slaves,> He meant Rote and Jehanne, <In order to rescue said slaves. Said attack is going to occur on their way out of the auction, but you have my word - Many of the buyers are actually purchasing the nobles for sham enslavements. The Edelweiss Family arranged that part.>

A pause. <Point is, I am willing to pay ten thousand Reich Marks to hire you to join the band of mercenaries to attack that Mage Girl or anyone else who might buy the redheaded and blonde slaves. Then you and the mercs will guide them to freedom, before finding opportunities for money and bloodshed against worthy foes.>

A voice said from the stands, "I have a million!" This was echoed by more bidders, some of whom said that they had two million, others who said they had four. But the shadowy figure who had contracted the Alhryt-Liu Trading Company had given Cocheta and Louise six million, and promised to transfer a further four million to their accounts if expenses suddenly shot up.

It was quite clear that someone really wanted Rote and Jehenne in their hands.

Rote, meanwhile, was merely tempted to shout what he knew, damn the consequences. It was clear that this little woman or the person she served would not listen to him should he talk about The Conspiracy. From what he had found out before the Battle of Kaisersdat, Venedig was the best place for the Old Gods' worshippers to conduct the next stage of their plans. Something about a cosmic alignment...

City Event - The Dragon in the Slums

Several men and women glared at 'The Heretic' as he gave away his presence. A couple of bouncers grabbed their sticks, but a fat man in silk robes, clearly the owner of the illegal opium den, shouted in a suprisingly commanding tone, "Order! Order!"

He then gestured for 'The Heretic' to come with him to the back of the den, to a secret room with mundane and magical countermeasures against eavesdropping. This room was made up of wood and marble tilework, with bundles of flax stuffed inside the walls to muffle sound. Inside the room was a small table with food and drink, around which a gang of who looked to be hardened criminals, two men and two women, sat.

The men were composed of a heavyset man wearing a large skirt-like loincloth, leggings, and a magically transpartent breastplate and a thin man in black and blue clothing who openly carried a dagger and lockpicks, while the women were Magi in their typical long robes, with one of them holding a traditional staff while the other had a whip. The Opium Den owner then said, "This... Is my heist team. My name is Carlo Brizzi, and I have been hired to assemble a team of the best criminals in Venedig... Which now include you."

He then tosses a bag of non-perfected Electrum coins at 'The Heretic' and says, "So, are you in or out?"
