Current I think watching fight scenes can help in general terms with writing combat, since it can give you an idea of flow and choreography.

At least if you're writing something you know, with knights.

I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

roleplayerguild.com/posts/5… If anyone's up for fighting some kaiju, why not try out my new RP, Godzilla: YATAGARUSU?

Her heart felt somewhat eased, now. Not that she felt she was guaranteed to do a good job from now on, but rather at the fact that felt have been given some time to think, and though she still felt somewhat guilty at least it didn't seem bother Sir Nicomede.

"I see... er..."

Fanilly took a deep breath, and a smile returned to her lips.

"It's been a lot to get used to... but to be the Captain of the Iron Rose Knights is an honor, your highness," she managed, finally, "I never dreamed of serving such a position when I was younger."

It was true, even if she had been born under a full moon. To be serving as Captain of the Iron Rose Knights... she had never even thought she would be a knight, let alone the captain of the most prestigious order in Thaln. A noble's daughter to be sure, but a knight like this...

Trying to swallow her own self-doubts once more, Fanilly took a deep breath once more before speaking.

"How have affairs been for you, your highness?" the smallish blonde asked.

"Ah, it has been quite lovely, recently... I am still pleased father listened to my request to send you against those bandits," the Princess replied, "The pain they visited on the populace had to be stopped."

Fanilly paused for a moment. It had been the Princess's word that lead to the request from the crown? She hadn't known prior. While she knew that Princess Eliabelle was popular for many reasons, one being her concern for the people, such decision-making capacity when it came to military action as well came as a surprise.

"Ah, but I'm sure you don't want to hear more about that, er... and... I apologize," the Princess paused for a moment, then took a deep breath, "Have you been enjoying the food?"

"Ah? So we are knight's aids, and in return you are ours??" commented the drill-haired girl, a smile returning fully to her lips, "Do you hear that, Angenese?"

"I do indeed, Margarite," responded the other blonde, returning the smile, "Well, certainly, if we are assisting you in valuable training, then we are indeed a pair of nobleladies in service of the legend of a brave knight, being waited on by that very same knight!"

Some of their playfulness seemed to have returned with Gerard's more encouraging words.

"Ah... I'm happy that we haven't ruined your first ball, regardless," added Angenese, "A member of the Iron Rose Knights deserves to enjoy themselves!"

She smiled brightly.

"And... indeed, I should like to think we've all learned at least a little, then," the drill-haired girl added, "I hope you can enjoy the rest of your night."

"..."

The young black-haired girl averted her eyes, shifting awkwardly. This was quite a bit different then Jarde had last seen her, the small figure fidgeting as she looked away, hands clenching and un-clenching at her sides. That sarcastic, taciturn girl whose face conveyed a distinctly unimpressed expression was now looking quite awkward, failing to meet the knight's gaze entirely.

"... I... I..."

Violette trailed off for several moments. It was quite clear this was not something easy for her, given how much she was hesitating to even speak.

"... I-I'm sorry."

Immediately she turned fully away, blushing and pouting slightly as she did. Making an apology was quite difficult for someone who almost never apologized for anything.

The little girl smiled as Fleuri leaned down, whispering to her that he was listening. She looked around in a conspiratory fashion, right and left, before leaning into his ear and imparting her all-important message.

"Watch the crowds," she said, simply, "That Princess isn't as safe as you might think."

While it was delivered in a playful fashion, these words were most certainly not some sort of child's fantasy. It was a warning, delivered by a child but a warning nonetheless.

Somehow, it didn't seem like she was trying to play some kind of trick.

When Fleuri tried to look at her next, the little girl in the tall hat was gone.

As was, somehow, the massive cake.

@HereComesTheSnow: You register your party before accepting a job.
@Myrna Minkoff: Yes, it's about where your character focuses, it doesn't limit them to only that.
Okay, I think I'm going to have to put my foot down.

Sapient undead are going to go off the playables list. You need to ask first and give Rain and myself a very good reason why your character is a sapient undead and why this should be allowed if you want to play one. Please keep in mind they are extremely rare.
Saber - Benienma

Yes! The box had opened, assaulting the dark Kiara not only with sparrows, but with a direct strike to her luck, crippling her advantage if only for an instant! Benienma drew her katana immediately, pointing the tip directly towards the flickering walls of the barrier. Even as she drove the blade towards it, she felt the agonizing sensation blaze up her arms.

But she couldn't let herself be stopped here. The anti-spiritual barrier wasn't nearly as strong, she could feel it! The redheaded enma had to do everything she could! She had to!

There was the tiniest gap, the smallest hole in the flickering purple at the tip of her blade. She had to push through!

It was widening... it was beginning to be forced open!

She had to pierce through it! For the sake of her Master, for Jason, for Kiara, for everyone else on this island and in this world!

The hole grew wider, and...!

Kiara fell to her knees, gasping. Her own barrier had collapsed entirely. This soul-eating monster that had the same form as her... she was so incredibly strong. She couldn't maintain her mudras any longer. Even with her evil counterpart's distraction, she hadn't been able to stave off the attack for long enough.

She could see that hand, reaching towards her...

All she had left was her own defiance.

And so she raised her hands, to offer a prayer with her last breath as that hand neared her face. Perhaps in her last moments, she could at least try to enforce the property of anti-evil upon herself...

Those fingertips were almost there, almost scraping at her forehead...

There was a flash of silver and red.

The evil Kiara's right arm was suddenly in the air, detached above the elbow with a perfectly clean cut. It spiraled several times, end over end, spurting blood as it did, before landing several meters away with a wet thump, leaking red onto the grass, the fingers twitching for a few moments before going still.

Benienma skidded to a halt, flicking the blood from her blade and smoothly sheathing it. The remains of the barrier, shattered like glass, briefly drifted through the air before dissipating into nothing.

She'd made it in time!

"This time, I won't let you escape, Sessyoin Kiara! The enma's judgement shall send you to the hell you have earned dechi!" the sparrow girl declared, hand still on the hilt of her katana, "I won't allow you to become an evil of humanity!"

@RolePlayerRoxas@PKMNB0Y
Hmmm... I think I'll get a response on the noble girls/Fanilly and the Princess side of things tomorrow, maybe.
@Heartfillia: Nope, definitely because it made her mad.
@Heartfillia: How kickable are his shins?

@1Charak2: Accepted.
Sophie is just going to glare at everyone for goofing off.

And call them stupid.
I need to edit the character list before it gets away from me.
