Current Noble Arms is now either four years old, or three years and eleven months. The third thread had lasted for more than one year.

My Roleplay, Noble Arms: The ASEAN War, will reach its 4th year in June or July. It's been a long journey.

Despite its massive flaws, my RP, Noble Arms: The ASEAN War, is still one of the longest ongoing RPs in RPGuild - It turns 4 years old in July and the current thread itself is more than a year old.

The Pier

Pablo was at the very edge of the Pier, his Noble Arm held out. Two bodyguards were close by him, one of them Eliza and another an ordinary person. Their purpose: To indicate that was Pabo was going to do was both allowed and ordered. As the boy from Trinidad dipped his mystic weapon through the water, willing the forces of Primordial Truth to flow through him, he saw his own secrets, his own shames and guilt once again.

He saw how pride had infected him, how his belief that he was the main keystone to Operation Symbiosis' success was as much a hindrance to his growth as much as it was a motivation for working hard. He saw the needs and wants of the various people and groups on the expedition, and the need to factor them in. He saw the lies he told himself and the lies told by others, as well as trod the various futures of the expedition.

Lifting his sword and hand from the dirty saltwater, Pablo looked at Eliza and said, "There are people here, people who've suffered in ways no one should suffer."

The lingering power of the sword told him not to think of them as broken objects to be 'fixed', but to see them as people. They had independent wills or the seeds of them, and those deserved respect. Respect others, respect yourself, Pablo thought to himself, while at the same time knowing this: That once the sword's power faded, the seeds of arrogance would sprout inside his mind once more, and potentially bring pain to himself and other people. Be on guard. You are not perfect or omnipotent and others can't cover for you if you just demand that of them.

And with that, he walked towards Ein. Ein the broken, Ein the adorable, Ein, who caused feelings within him to stir. The power of Truth had made those feelings uncomfortable, because he knew this, that what he felt was not Love yet, and that even if it was, a possible future might have him break Ein's heart if he reached out to someone more shattered than the latter. Abbadon - The pitiable enemy. He who can still be redeemed.

As Eliza greeted Andre, Pablo looked at Ein before trying to introduce himself. "Umm... My name is Pablo Legazpi and we'll be working together. My sword can reveal hidden truths as well as tap into primordial energies - Apparently, Truth and Primordial Energy share the same source."

A faint smile as Eliza finished her introductions. "I'm happy to meet you."

That was sincere.

Eliza Lopez spoke to Andre, "Greetings, Andre Dias. I am Sargeant First Class Eliza Lopez, assigned to protect prime asset Pablo Legazpi as well as those associated with him. These now include you and your ward. Now, if you could follow me into the ship..."

As she received their responses, then led the way, she would begin some exposition, "I am an Arms Master as well, with a sword that can generate fire and with a moment's concentration, 'modulate' said fire not to inflict physical damage to people I do not wish to harm. I am also a licensed babysitter with experience in taking care of children and teenagers."

A chuckle, a signal she was trying to be humorous. "You've been brought here for your investigative skills, Mr. Dias, and those are going to be needed in the future. Operation: Symbiosis is a gordian knot of competing interests - Not all of them are interested in peace or even stability. And I'm not even including the people who want the expedition to fail."

As they walked on to the transport's residential quarters, Eliza continued, "You've heard rumors that the Operation is a front for a large social experiment on whether Arms Masters and normal people can actually live in harmony and that if it fails, thousands of wealthy and influential people will give up on the concept of peace." She paused, turned around, and looked at them. "Those rumors are true, as Pablo can attest."

They finally reached a set of rooms with numbers that matched keys they had been given beforehand. "And we're here; your quarters."

Gummi Ship Renovation's Might, Renovation

"My name? It's Tocsax," said the Nobody. "Glad to meet you, Agni, if I am permitted to call you that."

Then back to Georgia, "Oh, Amuro got left behind on Renovation; Empress Maria wants to send him back to his home world with an upgraded Mech." Looking at her further, he says, "A point of curiosity: Amuro's timeline was part of a fictional work in the Original Timeline, a fictional work my Somebody knew about but have not truly watched." Then another pause. "And sure, you can kill Hitler, while as for how his minions have not been consumed by Darkness yet... My personal opinion is that they will be eventually - They're just postponing the cost."

He then explained further, trying to be open as his shoulders and posture relaxed, "Sometimes, a strong willpower can stave off the descent into darkness. Even more so if you can use dark magic to ensure that someone else is consumed by the Darkness instead of you. In the areas the Nazis have occupied and re-occupied, the civilian populations - Including those of their own 'Aryan' race - have vanished. The conclusions to be drawn are evident."

Looking at the others, he said as his hologram continued to be projected to the medbay, "Who will go after Stalin, then? And who will reinforce Georgia once she goes after Hitler?"

Then once he'd ask his question, he'd look at Ignitio and Victor, checking to see if they're distracted. Then, a wide grin in his face, Tocsax said to Agni, "I know we've just met, Agni, but I find you handsome - Sexually attractive, even. Why don't we go to this ship's cafeteria; you seem hungry. The Moogle Chefs here can cook up quite a few delicacies, including quality desserts."

Part of him thought, Shahrukh Mizra will be angry once he hears of this. Oh, well, we're not boyfriends anyway. Now, if 'No, I' was suddenly revived and he/she/they are still interested in me, that'd be a problem. But we're not together as well. So I am free.

Just in case anyone read those thoughts, Tocsax whispered to himself, "Mind Shellra," projecting a shield around his thoughts that would be resistant, but not completely unbreakable, to psychic attempts at reading his mind.

Haven Base plus Red-Star Floating Supercarrrier Kuei-Ren

Mako was silent, intimidated enough not to attack Terra and Hisako. Not that he had any great interest in doing so, not when everything was falling apart for Red-Star. For a brief moment, he felt sadness at it, before flying back towards the Kuei-Ren - It seemed closer than before? He didn't notice, or care, about the conventional forces that were slowly being destroyed by the Havenite PCs as to him, it was a better fate than continuing to live in this rotten organization.

On the Kuei-Ren itself, Osamu sensed it, a change in the metaphorical wind. A feeling of renewed savagery coming from Ursa Nova signalled that he was losing control.

The common soldiers could see it too, as the guards around Alexander had stopped beating him. For the first time, Osamu felt the full extent of his long-suppressed anger towards his own side, as he inferred that Dread can only gain so much confidence if the artificial human had been overriden by his own superiors. Part of him felt: This is why it is futile to stand against Red-Star - They always get their way in the end!

Yet another part of him decided that It was time to stop being such a coward. His father had designed him for the liberation of his country, Occupied Japan controlled by the Chinese. Fear had held him back from following his purpose in life, and it was shameful fear of death.

But no longer. He can infer that Dread or the Red-Star Leadership were prepared to kill him for his actions anyway. So that removed his fear.

As Terra and Hisako disabled the floating destroyers, he said in public, for apperances, "Crew of the Kuei-Ren, let us not resist our doom. A good death is better than a good life. Let the Pilot of Ursa Nova have his fun."

But in private, he once again cast his mind out, seeking the Havenite NC Pilots. Only their General Commander would do this time. Seeking out Theodore Narra, he shouted to the Havenite Leader's mind: I've lost control of the situation or am in the promise of losing it!

The response to him was anger, personal anger at what he had done to Alexander. I will be honest, I've been expecting this since I learned that you were the de facto leader of the expedition, that you would not be up for the strain. Alexander inferred that your... Quirks aren't just the result of sociopathy or psychopathy, but a long-suppressed self-guilt at you being unable to fulfill your life's purpose of liberating Japan.

A slight smile, as a mental image of the Khalid-ibn-Walid began giving fire support to the 'International Volunteers'. Other flashes were also shown, of the Perfect Qamishlo's 'Haloes' spinning around like a gyroscope, crafting floating colonies of nanomachines in the air.

The very next second, said nanomachines were hurling themselves at the Kuei-Ren's deck and hull, the floating globs of silver-chrome carefully avoiding Terra's parents, Osamu, and Alexander, but devouring war machines, weapons, and portions of the hull but not human flesh; that was safe. Note that the reason the nanomachines avoided Terra's parents was because Theodore could not risk them blowing up while the nanobots destroyed the machines they were in. As for Dread's mech, it was able to burn away any of the globs of nanomachines that came near him.

Then Theodore explained the situation. "Havenite Volunteers, Osamu Akiyama has lost control of the Red-Star expedition. Be prepared for surprises. This will be the climax of everything..."

Apologies for the belated reply, I am not very used to forum-style correspondence, as opposed to chats.
What I have in mind is an emotionally vulnerable barely-adolescent child who was inducted into the Hammer of Masters very early in his life due to not knowing any better, who is serving the organization faithfully because they provide to him a family and sense of brotherhood and camaraderie that he never would have felt otherwise, and because he is a child, and the free and take-what-you-are-due approach that a position of Arms Master superiority promotes appeals to his young and delicate sensibilities. His Noble Arm is the two-pointed brilliant sabre Zulfiqar, whose power is fairly complex and would take a long to describe in detail and work out with you precisely - but the gist is that when it is employed, a reality-warping aura of enforced peace and pacifism all around him, with nobody being able to do any active violence to anyone else when affected. He can selectively turn it off for any given person, but, of course, that'd mean that they can fight back against him just as well as he can harm them.

Acceptable, as long as my own character can dispel this aura with his 'Truth' powers.

Edit: Wait, it's Reality Warping, not just a mental effect. If it works by nullifying all violent uses of weapons, powers, and even fists, then it can work against Pablo (my own character). But if it is only just a mental effect, then it can be dispelled.
@Shoddy McCoy, Accepted.

@Ryteb Pymeroce, You have a competitor.

There might - might - be delays in the publication of the first IC post, but the game will still continue.
@Shoddy McCoy, Yes, if you can get yourself caught up to the IC.
@Shakyamuni, Here would be great.
