Despite its massive flaws, my RP, Noble Arms: The ASEAN War, is still one of the longest ongoing RPs in RPGuild - It turns 4 years old in July and the current thread itself is more than a year old.

Scipio Industries and Finance + Ken Neumann

But when Ken was next summoned to Leonard's side, it wasn't to discuss the Believers and Scarif. Rather, it was to discuss further plans with Raj Vizsla and Rule Findos, the Neimoidian who helped manage the CEO's economic affairs. Leonard grinned at Ken, saying, "Kenny, we have good news. Granted, it is mostly business stuff, so I'll have to simplify it; no offense. Basically, the Imperials tried to use weather satellites to make Naboo uninhabitable; they were foiled by the New Republic." A thin smile. "This made the Naboo and Gungans very angry, and in their anger, there is opportunity; do you know that the Gungans once defeated General Grievous?"

Ken replied, "At the sacrifice of one of their own. Are you thinking of supplementing our forces further with Gungans?"

Leonard shook his head. "No, but in the chaos of Naboo's liberation, one of my...contacts managed to get schematics of the Gungans' mobile shield generators. While said generators are primitive, if retrofitted with better reactors, better materials, and better circuits..."

Ken smiled, "Your ground forces will not have to fear long-range attacks from enemy artillery or even starfighters!" Good thing you've thrown in your lot with us. "Orbital bombardment will still be a problem, though, unless you increase power efficiency to that of a stationary shield generator."

Rule Findos interjected, "We still cannot do that, but nevertheless, it's an increase in the efficiency of our forces especially if we use only Battle Droids. But the most promising outcome of this conflict has been the exodus of plasma merchants from Naboo with as much of their cargo as they can take with them." A frown. "This means that for a short period of time, plasma is cheap as there is more of it. Then it will become expensive again. We bought it while it is cheap, and are now hiring smugglers and other discrete people to bring it to Scarif."

The Neimoidian then brought up a hologram, this time showing Lothal.

"The disorder of the Galaxy and the lifting of Imperial communications blackouts all over the Outer Rim has also proven one thing: the planet of Lothal is free and has been since before Scarif. And more importantly, not all the Ore Crawlers brought in from the Imperial occupation have been scrapped during the liberation and the years afterwards." A hologram of the Ore Crawlers began showing. "These too, will be smuggled into Scarif."

Leonard then reclaimed his position as 'main expositor'. "And finally, I've been having my shell corporations buy up various mining and construction starships and having them go to, well, Scarif. These will then make use of the planet's abundance of materials that can be used to build new vessels."

It dawned on Ken. "So, just in case there isn't anything useful to discover or salvage in Scarif, you're planning to use it as a place to construct a Navy. But wait, what will the Believers' place be in this plan?"

Leonard went over to his lover and patted his shoulder. "Tell me, how would you like several thousand tons of blasters, body armor, explosives, and an even better version of the personal shield generators you favor so much? All you have to do is rise up in the ranks and keep attacking the Hutts with guerilla strikes while I build up my forces. This isn't even underhanded; both our factions stand to profit."

A smile from Ken at that.

- Lilliana, the Radiant Heart -

"Wow~ it's really that simple? No secrets of drawing power from the environment or unlimited wells of ancient power? Just drink a potion? How convenient, I'll make sure to stock up." Lilliana happily took the proffered potion. "Yeah, we didn't have moogles or magic potions, magic was still so fresh and new to everyone that we're all trying to figure out how it works together."

"Wow, Kyros is really strong! Unless there's something that can stop that reflection effect, I can't imagine how you could beat him without like, being so fast you could swoosh behind him so quick it was like you teleported, you know, with the 'vwoosh' sound." Lilliana commented on the fight. Personally, she was quite glad she didn't give it a try. All Kyros would have to do to defeat her would be to hold his shield between the pair of them and reflect the butterflies back at her.

Damianos would say to Lilliana: "There are various ways to defeat Kyros, actually; all you need are good tactics. You see, Kyros' main skills are defensive; he's known as the 'Ultimate Defender' among us. This means that he can't attack as well as other people can. Note too that the training room is an environment that plays directly to his strengths; it's relatively small and confined and he's facing only one opponent." He continued on, happy to give his knowledge to the Magical Girl, "So if you can fly, or just jump really high, and the ceiling was high enough, you can get behind him, no problem."

"Another solution is to aim at his legs; even with double shields, defending them and the feet would be very hard. Also, if you can vary your spells to create whips or tendrils, that would be even better. Versatility, Ms. Magical Girl, Versatility." The Wizard then thought of something. "Also, grappling can work, too. Lukas came close to defeating Kyros due to his grappling skills."

Eli observed the room quietly as the sound of a clock ticked on inside. Every moment he spent in the room was used to inspect the fine furniture and material used inside. Deciding it would be best to wait for the others, since he assumed they had gone elsewhere, he plopped down onto a chair, and waited. Of course, by the time he sat down, he was already quite bored. There was nobody here to greet him, 'nor to talk to for that matter. He looked up over at the door, as if expecting someone to walk in at any moment. Finally, after another minute, he decided to stand up and leave. If nobody would come to him, perhaps he could come to them?

He walked silently through the halls, before making his way to a door outside. The garden was an amazing sight to see and almost seemed to remind him of another garden elsewhere. He stopped to look at every single flower and piece of vegetation around to admire it's beauty. Of course, this was cut short when a small ladybug crawled up on a leaf he was inspecting. He went pale, stood up straight, and moved on to find the others. He was quite tense from the ridiculous experience, but soon calmed himself down when he noticed a few individuals in the garden.

Once more, he took a deep breath, and approached them. He put a hand up in a wave and smiled. "Hello!" He called out to none of them in particular. Better to greet them all at once and get to know them individually another time.

From an ordinary door would come Tocsax, clad in his black robe and hood and carrying his Keyblade openly. He would wave a hand to Eli, saying: "Hello, how are you? You must be the new Keyblader that they recruited? The...amnesiac?"
Post coming this weekend.

Cool; three or four days from now?
@Drifting Pollen, we are just waiting for you...
Since Heat told me that he would be able to take over for Orro, and there does not seem to be too much support for a reboot, I believe we can try to keep going as we are now. I would like to try and get some activity going after the hiatus we have been on, so I would like to know how many people are still interested so I can plan for how to include everyone.

Still interested!
I'm just waiting for someone to interact with me. I don't mind if we continue or not, honestly. I still got time to bond with a few characters regardless.

Ah, thanks for being a good sport.

Snow smiled as Nick consoled him, offering friendship freely. But he knew, more than ever, that he needed to find more solutions before the group collapsed under the sheer weight of egoes (including his own), anger, and negative emotions. And so he patted Nick's arm, as if to reassure him that he was all right now. "Thanks for the help," he said mildly. "I won't forget this."

Alice's attempt to console the boy also came as a surprise, and Snow said to her as the tears faded, "Thank you as well."

Turning to Gale, the boy would say, still warmly but less so, "Who are you? I haven't seen you in the intitial gathering." He then looked at Nick again, then back at Gale. "Either way, thanks to the both of you for trying to help."

"But now..." He listened to Rhys' words, silently approving. "It is time to listen to the White Rabbit's explanations; I wish I had a notebook and pencil." But despite his words, Snow was left with a new appreciation of his vulnerabilities; he had lost face for very good reasons.

As he listened further, Snow interjected, "The Potential? What do you mean, Mr. Rabbit? This mix of people seems electic; varied. There are only a few common factors among them - wait, so you did bring us here? That makes any defense of you and your actions much harder, doesn't it?"

Snow bit his tounge at that, aware that his pompousness was returning.

Basically, we're in another world connected to the human mind - no, the collective unconciousness of all human minds. Like the Warp from Warhammer 40k, but less over-the-top, believe it or not. Those were his thoughts a split-second before he said, "Are you trying to imply that you are born from Humanity's dreams and thoughts, which in turn means that you can't truly be destroyed without destroying Humanity?"

Then the White Rabbit would shoot Gale, destroying the simulacrum that hid the young man's true form; a boy of his own age group. Loping over to Gale, Snow would examine his fellow adolescent closely, before pulling at his ears and hair.

"Amazing!" Snow didn't notice Alice's indignation at what the White Rabbit did, and kept saying, "It seems that you are just as real as I am; what's your name? Mine is Snow Cecil."

The talk about the dead member of their group brought Snow back to the discussion at hand; same for Adam and Alice asking the needed questions before the boy himself could. But it seems that one of his earlier speculations were right; this was the place where the 'P3 Syndrome Children' were whisked away to. Or their minds, at least. Snow would then speak, "So, you're looking for people with the mystic potential to fight alongside you."

Facing the White Rabbit directly, the boy would then say, "But you guys made a big mistake; by selecting such a large number of people at random, you've made it inevitable that the ranks of your desired 'allies' are divided into factions of their own. Correct me if I'm wrong, but our divisions, worsened by the death of one of us, as well as the fact that we're all annoying one another - even I am doing that right now - that does not make us the best candidates for a cohesive group, right?"

As Alexander drove to the apartment, he would glance behind his seat...to discover that he had not actually dropped off Michael and Vernon. In fact, it was a strong possibility that the two would have heard everything Alexander said to Samoth, Ascot's response, and of course, Alexander's constant worryings about his brother. Turning towards the Vigilante, the Juvenile Investigations Officer said, "So, it seems like I have civilian oversight today. Will you really stop me from protecting my brother?"

"Now why would I do that?" Michael asked. "You said it yourself, he's got a lot of potential. I'm inclined to agree. Plus, if anything happens to him, I'd probably be affected as well. Worst case scenario, I'd lose a great source of information, as well as a connection to some powerful people, like you. So, do what you must."

Alexander grinned. "Michael Angle, was it? You're a treasure. Thank you for everything." As the car continued on its drive towards the apartment, Alexander spoke again, this time telling a story about his brother. "When Ascot was young, he used to play games with our younger sister, Lilliana; he was the Phantom Thief and she was the Security Guard. Pretty unusual, I know."

"I see," Michael replied. If he recalled, phantom thieves were people who used tricks and charm to accomplish a robbery, as opposed to violence and intimidation. "What led to this?"

Alexander's smile was faint. "Basically, the point is that Ascot believes himself to be charming and intelligent and guileful beyond what he actually is. You've seen him be smart, but his planning skills...not as good as he thinks he is. He also tends to despair when confronted with strong opposition. That is not someone who can confront Vittorio's hateful vendetta well."

Michael nodded in agreement. "He does indeed have his moments, but overall, the events of today were rather unproductive. As for Vittorio, I've done a bit of research on him myself. His powers are difficult to handle, and his personality is... questionable. I would definitely not confront him without assistance."

Texting on his phone while barely listening, Vernon was in a chat room with his Out Of Rhea friends and was just about to speak, right when he had a new message had appeared from a fellow in Rhea. He smirked and his eyes pin pointed the icon picture. It was a unknown number. He answers it and whistled. "So what exactly am I here for?'' Asked Vernon looking around as if there needed to be something to talk about. "I hadn't been listening, I've only agreed to come because my father needed to...expand the house," explained Vernon carefully not getting too emotional.

Alexander spoke to Vernon. "I wanted to drop you off back at the house, but I forgot. Long and short of it is that one of your fellow students, Vittorio, has a stupid vendetta with Alto. Ascot - Will - wants to redeem him, but I doubt that'd happen. You see, Vittorio once had four best friends who were St. Laurel's students and two parents who worked as gardeners there, but then they were killed by a Demon who was trying to kill Alto. Vittorio, with lack of presence of mind, decided that Alto was to blame for the Demon attack and joined Mephisto's to try and kill Alto. So now, Ascot wants to redeem Vittorio by finding the Demon who killed his friends and family even if it means going to the Ancient Evil's Hell. This is not happening on my watch; so I am going to force Vittorio to leave his personal mark on my book as part of my own plan to lock him up forever."

"Ah, a vendetta. Respectable. My father had one, only one. That is stupid." Vernon leaned back and quivered his lips. " We should give the demon to Vittorio, I've seen and gossiped of the guy, handing the devil to him will quench his hunger for vengeance. Also,'' Vernon paused to sigh, smiled and strech his arms upwards. "It's the right thing to do. Vittorio's family-if our students were family to him or actually siblings. Had all been murdered and akin to my father, the murderer must be confronted by a relative to this tragic event." Vernon didn't let himself be careful with his emotions this time, he let it was out. It was because of one man why he and the other Jester-Terumis never met their living grandparents, and that man was dead, brought to death by his arch rival's adoptive son and his second born. Version was smiling at replaying the strys in his head!

And now Alexander's mood is ruined. "Which is exactly what Ascot plans to do. The 'right thing'. But I am not letting him die or worse because of that; call me selfish. But yes, once Vittorio's threat has been neutralized, I will find the Demon who killed his family and friends and hand it over to the kid. After my brother is safe."

"If we are to find this Demon, the first thing we'll need is information," Michael pointed out. "What it looks like, known locations of its appearance, its strengths and weaknesses, that sort of thing. How much do you know about it, Alexander?"

Another frown. "It's a powerful demon who goes for the hood-and-cloak aestethic, and was able to kill several St. Laurel's students known for having a decent power level. But other than that...I'll have to go to St. Laurel's itself with a search warrant in order to get the full data of its apperance on Rhea." A frown. "Note that Ascot's series of trips wasn't as fruitless as you think; I speculate that Mephisto might have some connection to this...Demon Lord."
@Letter Bee I wouldn't mind a heading to the main plot. I keep trying to write a post but it keeps ending up being "Oh, thanks for the mana potion, I didn't realize it was this simple..... I have nothing else to say."

Thanks for the honesty; if the others agree, we can move the plot.

Or if they don't, perhaps some commentary on Girogios' spars with Lukas and Seth? Lilliana might dislike how the latter got pummeled.
Albert had entered Guixiang 'normally', well, as normally as a fourteen-year old can do so in fine clothing without a bodyguard. Thankfully, there were caravans, individual traders, craftsmen looking for apprentices, and various other people streaming into the city. He'll blend in just fine.

But first, why was Albert here, having interrupted his lessons under Astraea, Third Incarnation of Salina? Well, his mentor had heard rumors of the 'rubies' of Guixiang, and the sinister nature behind them. And Albert had volunteered because he was a precocious child who wanted adventure in his life, and it's not as if Astraea didn't take after Salina in her 'hands-off parenting'.

So it came as a surprise that once well inside the city, the guards had surrounded him and, with implied meneace, asked him to come with them. This turned out to be a wise decision, as 'with them' implied being escorted to the presence of their leader, a Lady with the supernaturally regal poise that came with the 'aristocracy' of Creation. Now Albert can try and resist the urge to speak up first. That way, he can allow others to pitch in and he can learn more about them.

But once the others were done speaking, and only then, the boy would say, "Ah, I'm here to look for a...trainer," He didn't dare say master at this point in time, "A trainer who can help improve my knowledge of craftsmanship."

There was something unnatural afoot, that was to be sure. Best not to do anything foolish.
