GM be slacking here, so here I am picking up the slack <_<

Who says I'm slacking? Who said I didn't want them to, you know, have been subbed to the interest check like a responsible user? : P Thanks though. I appreciate it.
@AGenericUser That would be fine. In fact, that would sort of be required. Androids don't have Aura*.
The explosion in the distance blotted out all other sounds for a moment, causing Koumori's ears to swing behind her head and sway as if they were subject to the blast wave itself. As such, she was unaware of the mass messages that went around. The only next thing she knew, Akeno was grabbing her wrist and calling after Azukina. Koumori stood, resisted, twisted her wrist out of the grasp of the taller, stronger girl. This was a crisis. A real crisis.
"Wait..." she stated quietly, before yelling out at the top of her lungs, "Wait!"
Her mind was racing. But, unlike her usual panicked state, it was constructive. It made sense. She knew what she had to do.
"E-everyone! S-stop!" she called out, as loud as she could, "W-we.... We have to be Heroes! Azukina-kun! Kudo-kun! S-Sakimoto-kun! Ito-k-kun! Yukira-kun! Tachibana-kun! C-come with me! W-we have to p-put out th-that big f-fire! Keekee! Takeda-kun! Yutsuko-kun! Y-you two split up, a-and use your w-wings to beat out th-the smaller fires! Suguro-kun! G-go to the fire c-closest to the water a-and help p-put it out! E-everyone else, g-go where you're b-best suited! K-keep the fires contained! P-please! Keekee, l-listen to me!"
And with that, the short girl began to run headlong towards the massive blaze. It was actually a bit of a blur. She barely realized she had voiced her thoughts, let alone so loudly. In fact, she was already moving before she finished calling out her suggestions. So, she was a bit surprised herself as she passed the tree line, going down the blue path as fast as her legs would carry her- which was surprisingly fast for her height.
Even if it was part of the exercise, this was real to her. Beyond the civilians that needed saving being automatons, this fire had to be contained. The wildlife in the area wouldn't make it out unscathed with the sudden onset of the flames, and, further more, if it spread to the school, or the city below, it could cause untold damage.

Her mind continued to calculate the best method. Azukina and Hiroki's wind based Quirks would be excellent at suppressing flames. That combined with Akeno and her apparent heat-resistance, at least to a normal human level, and Kenji's strength and, if he were actually like a beetle in more ways than what was obvious, digging ability would be great at flame suppression on this scale, as would Souta, being able to erect barriers, and spin away debris onto the flames. The major priority was getting the largest fire stopped, which is why she wanted to go that way herself, and use her keen senses to help things out. Elina had a particular, if not peculiar, advantage, in that she could use her own flames to rob oxygen from the larger fire's offshoots, then deactivate her own fire safely.
The other fires needed to simply be contained, as far as she could see, and would eventually burn themselves out. But this larger one was critical. And that voice that called out- who was that? Could it have been Itagaki-sensei? But that wasn't important right now. She had to get there as quickly as possible.
A straight line.

Query:
The sections labeled "GM Only". Are we (the players) to leave that blank?

No, you're to fill them in and PM that information to GM's as part of the process for the character being accepted.
EDIT:
Also, how does this mesh in the show's timeline/plot? Before or after Vol. 3, an AU?, etc.

It's removed enough to the point where the characters and events of the series RWBY won't have that much of an effect on the RP.
Ladies, gentlemen, nonbinaries, children of all ages: We have an OOC.

Vacuo.

Kingdom of harsh weather, and harsher people.

Once a verdant paradise, now laid waste by greed and exploitation. The Great War changed everything... and yet nothing.

There is no true law here. No government. There is only The Rule.

"If you can survive here, you belong here."

Those who survive make the law. And no one is better at surviving than you...

For you... are a Hunter.

Or at least you will be.

I shouldn't have to go really in-depth with rules here. Just follow the standards of the forum, don't be a jerk, and write for fun, and we should all get along fine. The RWBY Name Rule will be enforced. In addition, I would prefer, but will not overtly require, characters to have some form of allusion to or inspiration from characters or individuals from literature or history. I may, however, allow this to be extended to games or music if the character idea is interesting enough. If you have any questions, just ask me beforehand. Also, consider the source.

Shade Academy

The only thing even close to resembling authority in Vacuo's wide, empty desert is The Huntsman Academy of Shade. Here young warriors, trained in any of the various combat schools around the world, including Vacuo's own Oasis Training Camp, gather to obtain the next step of knowledge and training, in order to become Huntsmen and Huntresses. Situated on what was once a thriving bed of resources, it can look rather foreboding from a distance. Home to the Vacuo CCTS Tower, and the only plot for airship landing for miles around, Shade is a little slice of everywhere in the middle of nowhere.

The Forge

Run by Maroon Awit, Core's Hammer is an oasis for the creative Huntsman or Huntress. Supplies can be gathered from all around, making for the finest built weapons, armor, and armaments this side of Sanus. At least as far as Maroon is concerned. Core's Hammer consists of a fenced in front area hanging containing a sign, a decorative anvil, several weapon racks, and two large quenching troughs- one on either side. The shop's entrance way serves as the main work area, where those with the Lien can rent tools for work, trade metals, and order armaments. The back wall is covered in a haphazard array of lock boxes, crates, and lockers, all for holding the belongings of various clients. Behind this wall, cordoned off by thick hanging cloth in two doorways, lie several work areas of more access and detail than those in the shop's front. While the ones in the front are mainly set for touch-ups and material tests, stations in the main room are equipped with the tools and materials needed to perform a standard job, complete with vertical quenching troughs, small ovens, anvils, and a stand of tools. In the back of Core's Hammer, there are special rooms for those with more involved projects, or projects that involve somewhat more dangerous materials.

Please follow the format of the Character Sheet. If you think of something to add, great, go ahead, but leave most things in the location for where they're asked. It just helps me know where to look for things, instead of them being in different places for different characters. If you think of something new, but aren't sure where to put it, the 'Other' section is a great catchall. You don't need to leave the Character Sheet centered, it's just easier to show you that way. I would, however, prefer that the categories remain emboldened and a visible color be picked for the text, thanks : )

I hope you find this interesting, and are willing to go along with me on this. If you have any questions, comments, concerns, or suggestions, please, don't hesitate to ask me. I'm more than willing to help in any way I can.
Welcome Aboard!
Remind me to read that IC post eventually.
In the distance, silhouetted by the rays of the rising sun, a figure began to approach. Vague at first, but certain distinct details began to become apparent as the individual approached. Once out of the glare of the sun, it was apparent that the figure was likely a young teen, due to the height on display.
Second, and most notably, was the elaborate head dress that the figure wore. A bright red plume gave the individual stunning visibility. As they approached the side of the school, and came into view of the seething horde of humanity, a large tan coat could be made out, draped over the back and shoulders of the individual. With arms crossed, the person looked much like some outrageous Akihabara based rock act, especially with a necklace of what looked like bones covering the neck, and a crude namanari mask made of bone perched on the approacher's face. All in all, it heavily distracted from the school-bag and UA uniform the student wore.
Just as the congregation of teachers would surely come to alarm at the masked figure's approach, as they rounded the corner of the building, the mask began to be removed. What was revealed was an individual with green hair and orange-yellow eyes, with black sclera.
"Kemonohito Yaseishi," the student muttered, presenting the issued identification, and not making eye contact.

There was an acknowledging nod from the bespectacled man as the student passed into the secondary entry way. He had seen the students arriving, collecting in the alcove in front of the side door, veiled by the shadow in contrast to the reflections in the glass facade above. However, he did notice one particular young woman, whom he particularly remembered reviewing her application, beginning to walk away from the side entrance towards the soon-to-be-riot.
Rolling his eyes, the man stepped forward, pulling the left side of his collar to his face, "Requesting violent protest suppression tactic Foxtrot 2," muttered the man, before perking up, and calling out in clear, well enunciated English, "Excuse me, Miss Lacara Hanazawa, correct? I'm sorry, but we must enter the school from the side entrance due to," he cleared his throat as he approached, nodding towards the crowd, "Obstructions."
The man gave a calming smile, and extended a hand. He cleared his throat again, before scanning the horizon for any other approaching individuals, student or not, and removing his glasses to polish them against a cloth square in his breast pocket- red with black trim like his tie.
"Now, if you'll pardon my intrusion, I am Mitsuhide Oyoshi, agent of the Japanese Government and teacher of 'Heroic Ethics' at UA," he continued, this time in his native Japanese, but with a very reassuring tone, "I apologize ever so much for approaching you in such a way, but we really mustn't keep the others waiting, Hayazawa Lacara-san. Please, come with me, so you may be properly accommodated."
Despite his placid demeanor, he was sweating a little on the inside. He was well aware of this girl's Quirk from the application paperworl, and the embers and steam from a ruined heat-resistant uniform blazer showed that she was greatly displeased. Convincing the Government to allow Lacara anywhere near the school had taken long hours and even more paperwork. His thumb still had a cramp from the myriad of notations he had had to make in order to get this class up and running this year.

The formerly masked figure began to remove the rather garish, dramatic dress that was worn, and fold it up in itself, tucking it behind a schoolbag. With the mask removed, rolled into the head-dress, and also put in the bag, the once mysterious figure leaned against the wall with a hair flip, arms folding once again. Now to wait- Basic, boring school stuff. With an impatient stillness, the individual pressed a black left shoe against the wall, propping the dark turquoise slacked knee out at an angle.
